Looks ok in the link, but wonder why only 3/5 based on 45 reviews?

What is the seal like on the pound land ones. I bought some from b&m recently £3 for 2, and the seal for the pouring lid is not at all air tight; it is basically a flap. Nowhere near as good as the bettaware ones I remember as a child.

The flap means they are serial dispensers.

Also the Argos ones are 5 litres and bpa free. Are the 4 litre pound land ones bpa free?
That's a cracking deal... as long as they are air-tight. Doesn't say in the description. Thanks OP! :sunglasses:

I kept some porage oats in a box similar the these - after about 3 months the porage smelled and tasted of plastic. Even branded BPA-Free plastic seems to leech chemicals into the food over time. Keep these boxes closed for a few days - open and smell the air inside and it's almost toxic. I changed all my storage boxes for metal, glass or ceramic.

Never really understood why people need to decant cereals from their original homes into plastic containers.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe if you're really slow at getting through them, but we leave them in original packaging for months and have no issues.

Really? I know it seems a bit pompous pouring cereal into a different container, but after a few days Shredded Wheat go soft. :worried:

Try Mini Wheats. Will last a couple of weeks for me.

I keep my cereals in their packaging and just secure the inner bags with these clips! Cereal stays fresh! ikea.com/gb/…71/
