Just bought the sennheiser gsx 1000 7.1 amp. As this headset features "7.1" would the two be compatible?

Heat. Ordered. Got the 7.1 HyperX cloud 2 ones and they're not really 7.1 so can't hear much in games like footsteps etc. These seem to be?

No, they aren't. Only a very small amount of headphones are 7.1 (in that they have 7 speakers driving them). 7.1 is a gimmick, you're much better off with a high end pair of open backed headphones than "7.1 surround sound".

Would these work on PS4 (with any adapter, perhaps?). Mainly a PC player, but many of my friends are on PS4 so I need something that supports both.
Great find! Had them on my wish list on amazon for ages. Bought them and pick them up later.

I did see this however there are just as many if not more that say the microphone is crisp and clear. I'll let you know once mine have arrive :wink:

I agree but I wonder why they released an updated version which is not much different to the previous version. The Dolby digital button looks different but is that it? That's not much of an update
