Lowest ever price @ Amazon was £34.95 Replacement toner costs around 10.99, heat added.

Tiny cartridges for a laser though, just 1000 pages, so £11 per cartridge isn't particularly cheap. That's the same amount per page as official HP catridges for my inkjet (957XL).

was just going to post this as just bought one. I really like samsung printers and was going to go for the wireless one but am just going to use a spare pi 3 and CUPS as there is a linux driver on the samsung site albeit 2 years old....heat man.

Couldn't get it to work on Raspbian. The correct drivers print blank pages, tried using some other drivers from similar printers etc and either get "Incorrect Driver" error or the printer doesn't print anything at all.

Reasonable prices for compatible toners on eBay too! Heat to OP!

One of the comments on amazon: Samsung must deliberately fit a very low (200 sheet?) capacity cartridge so that you have to order a replacement cartridge that costs almost as much as the printer.

After wrestling with a Canon inkjet that refuses cartridges being refilled after a few goes, I think it's time to bite!
- I found this laser printer the other week, in Office Outlet, for £34.99 - great price for this - hotukdeals.com/com…808
Office Outlet has the Samsung M2026 for £34.99 and the Brother HL1212W for £49.99 (both mono laser printers).
Tried adding them as a Deal earlier, but was told they're an unsuitable merchant. Woops.
FYI: Pictures were taken yesterday afternoon, in the Baird Street, Glasgow store.
I'd repost the Quote but this new site mangles Quotes...so just copy/pasted in italics instead!!

Great little printer. I got mine around 2 years ago and came with 500 page trial cartridge. Still working without any issue. Btw I paid £58.

Awesome price, had older versions for years until I bought a Mac and it wouldn't play nicely, probably sorted with this newer model, might buy one just for a spare.

Depends on your needs really...
Apart from the 'gimmicks' (like Wi-Fi), the Epson one is a colour printer, which will print photos & scan things, but is probably very costly to run in the long term, as replacement inkjet cartrigdes are not cheap &/or run out relatively quickly. Also, if not used for a while (several days/few weeks), the cartridges have the tendency to clog-up/run dry, which a 'head' clean doesn't always solve or just wastes more ink. Result = purchase of yet more expensive cartridges.
On the other hand, this Samsung is a mono (black only) printer-only (no scanning), which will do plain documents nicely & is very cheap to run in the long term. Plus, they don't have the tendency to clog-up or run dry, even if left unused for a long time.

Have an Epson XP245, it's 7 months old and now won't print black ink. Was a right pain to keep working too (there are issued with wifi, so had it on USB connection). It's a cheap colour inkjet with scanning, but wouldn't buy another one. If I need a colour inkjet, I'd probably go back to Canon.
Have ordered this Samsung for normal letter duties.

Wired these days for a printer this size is just an inconvenience. At least with wireless, you can stick it out of the way, in the corner of the rooms, on a shelf etc.

Plug it into a wi-fi access point then. The printer probably has a USB port, from which you could power a ~£10 Ethernet->wi-fi dongle.

I'd also to see a full video demonstrating that including the software and drivers used, as well as the cost of the additional hardware because I'm rather sceptical...

My bad, I'd assumed it had Ethernet (which as I described, is trivial to bridge to WiFi). Without Ethernet (seriously Samsung, who makes printers without basic network functionality!), you'd need some kind of print manager. Probably still possible to do on the cheap as Linux drivers do exist for this printer, but a fair bit more hassle/cost; might as well just get a better printer.

Good Find OP, Didnt need one but still purchased this. Might end up going to Europe at my In-Laws place. I picked up the massive Ricoh SP213W Mono Laser printer from Groupon Deal posted here, last year for £15 Delivered!
The Wifi is a pain to configure so i just use the USB.
Quick Question to all the Experts here, between the SP213W and this, which is a better printer in terms of quality / Running cost etc?
I love HUKD, has saved me atleast £500 till date! and made me spend £600 on things i can do without but will just pick up as the price is unbelievable!

For those interested in wireless capabilities, the exact same model with wireless is currently 39.99 on a lightning deal: here
Not as good deal as this, but maybe no wireless was a dealbreaker for some (this seems to even have nfc).

Well, I bought one of these and after a couple of hours messing around trying to get it to work with my NAS as a print server, it's not compatible.
Gutted, as I could have bought the £40 deal on the wireless version today if I'd known - wrongly assumed the Synology would work.
