The trouble with these sets is that they don't contain proper hinges - the thin plastic web eventually tears and the whole thing falls apart.

I agree, but they can be fixed with small hinges and rivets.

That's a good idea - almost good enough to excuse you the spelling of your username. Finally, a use for that pop riveter I bought and never used - but I wonder if the plastic will be strong enough to stop the rivets pulling through it? I have a Wickes set.

From my experience, their driver and HSS drill bits don't last very long, but £20 for a 302 piece kit isn't too shabby.

Read the reviews before rushing out to buy this. As with most tools, you get what you pay for.
