Capture full resolution videos directly on your phone. No more recording controls cluttering up the video or USB debugging notification in your status bar! Screen Recorder is the best app to record the screen of your Lollipop. It does NOT require root access, no time limit, no watermark, ad free and very easy to use with one action to start and stop recording.

Who's the developer? There are tons of apps called Screen recorder pro - but none have that icon?

I did give this a try and the fist thing I noticed was the woeful lack of settings.
Nothing to change resolution, bitrate, sound or even set preferred recording location.
If using Marshmallow you will also need to give it storage permissions or it will not write to your storage, which is something else that you would expect a competent dev to build in at least a user prompt for.
After trying to run it a few times though my machine would reboot part way through the recording process and on the last attempt it went into a boot loop at the boot animation, which now means I have to flash my device from scratch.
For a product that has the word Pro in it's title, it is woefully short of anything that comes close to that description.
It may well work on some SOC's but not recommended at all for AMLogic and Rockchip based ones and because of the lack of features, there are far more capable and free apps out there in Play Store land.

Did the entire UK population just get banned lol
Alternative app is bandicam. Its shareware, the only negative is a watermark till you sign up for the full version and a 10 min cap also. I mention it because its a no brainer app, the files are compact and upload straight to youtube. You dont have to mess with any settings really

Oops.
Did I cause a developer toy to be thrown out of the pram?
I hope it wasn't the pro toy as it might break upon impact.
I have found that the free, although not available on the Play Store, SCR Screen Recorder is very good.
Shou used to be very promising but they kept messing about with it, so results varied from one release to the next.
Some recorders do work better with some SOC's than others, so you sometimes have to try a few to get one that works on your device.
