There's some decent broadband deals going right now, but if you are an existing Sky Broadband customer and nearing the end of your promo rate, but can't be bothered to move away, this may save you some cash.
It is the cancellation route... to save yourself jumping through hoops, just log into your online account and click here. If you see an offer, then you can take it (mind you, that will re-commit you for another 12 months).
Normally, Sky Unlimited Broadband is £10, but with this you can get it for FREE. The unavoidable line rental is still payable at £18.99. This amounts to a sweet £120 saving over the year.
hmmm ... I pay for my sky bb £15 a month and they offer me £18.99 ... cold :raised_hand:

I went through sky chat quoting vodaphone unlimited Fibre BB for £25 and they offered unlimited for £30 Inc line rental (18mnths), but I said voda is still cheaper then he offered £60 credit, but can you increase this to 100? and he could only go to 75 and I accepted, haggle and ask!

I've been with sky for 7 years and I've never paid more than £15 for line rental + unlimited broadband. They tried changing increasing the price several times. I ring to cancel and the offer is back.
I've done this every year and it always worked. Last year I received a letter saying the cost will continue the same without a contract. Probably because they knew I was going to cancel it lol

My free broadband ends in December. I've been offered fibre for 18 months for £11.01 pm with free connection. Is it worth it

My talk and broadband bundlejust ended after the very cheapfirst year and went up to £33!!! I called up to say I wasn't paying that. Best offer was line rental £18.99 and free broadband for the 12 months. Not the best so when I said I'd think about it offered me £25 credit on the account. Should look for better deals so you have something to compare the offer with but I'm happy with Sky so didn't really wanna change.

Are you on Sky Fibre? If yes, this link will only knock £10 off your monthly bill. It's free for their Unlimited Broadband package.

I'm paying £18.99 all in a month for this currently - 38MB.
Not sure what deal I got at the time but it will certainly have had cashback too meaning I'm already paying less than £18.99 per month effectively.
I've no major complaints about the service but the complete and utter shambles which is trying to get in touch with them to discuss renewal means I'm leaving. 30 min wait on the phone, Facebook Messenger who can't actually help with anything and just tell you to call and the f**cking "live chat" that is more extinct than the dinosaurs have annoyed the life out of me.
Might go with PlusNet - always found their support decent.

i just called sky customer service, told them I wanted to cancel, they offered me free broadband, £15/month line rental. compared to this deal, this save additional £3.99/month or £47.88 a year. but you have to call them, the webchat is not working. hope this information can be useful to fellow deal seekers here.
@vshylock yes, near the end of contract (about/less than 1 month)

@Starkiwi26 seems that the closer you are to the end of the contract, the better. I tried negotiating for fibre, but they would offer almost no discount, so I had to leave and go with BT... I had about 5 months left with Sky.

Sky have offered my
£12 TV (original package) £5 broadband £15 phone line rental
£32 a month. I've called and had a word with 3 different people and that's the lowest they could come up with. The TV is ok at £12 but need to get the phone and BB down.
Any suggestions please?

just managed to get a new deal from sky, free line rental + £10 per month for adsl unlimited broadband. total cost for the year £120 inc line rental and broadband
basically place an order with another provider and wait until the next day, ring sky to change your talk package, they won't be able to as it will be pending a transfer
they will then ask you who you're moving to etc, don't tell them who, just say it was a lot cheaper than sky after a prepaid mastercard
they should then offer you free line rental and £10 a month broadband
don't settle for £3.99 off your line rental plus free broadband as that will work out at £15 a month instead of the £10 a month.
hope this helps anyone looking to renew following the last mse sky bb offer

So far the max they have offered is free BB and line rental for £15 (£19 x 12 = 228 -£50 credit = 178/12 =£14.83). They've also offered my Original package for £10 per month. Last year I got TV absolutely FREE!!! :-(
