I've had a Samsung washer dryer for 8 years now and never had a problem with it. Do a wash load near enough everyday. The drying time takes forever though.

Had the older model and have I needed that 5 year warranty. Had about 6 call outs. Although the process is easy and Samsung CS is actually pretty good, it appears any washer dryer runs into heating element issues from what the engineers say. Always the same part too.

The fact you've had 6 calls outs in under 5 years makes me believe that Samsung washer dryers are unreliable and to be avoided!

I had one. It died before the 5 years were up. I thought, Phew, thank goodness for the 5 year warranty and phoned them up. Turns out it was two years unless I had carried out a secret activation of the 5 year one and so that was that. Even though I still had the receipt. Apparently most washer dryers have a fuse on the control board that can be replaced. These ones don't so when they blow they blow unless you want to shell out a few hundred for a new circuit board.

Currys have a load of Samsung's on offer at the moment so could be cheaper

You going to need the 5 year warranty! Issues with the dryer side of the machine. Wiring issues too.

I've had mine a year and a half almost used approx 3/4 times a week and I've not had any issues. Used the dryer throughout the winter period too and if im honest through spring and most of our so called summer :unamused: I've got no complaints from the machine.
How long have you had yours before it started having issues?

Or the WD90J6410AW for £595 from Appliances direct? A 9kg drum. I got this a little while ago and think it's great.
