You can get a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 32GB in various colours, with Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Texts, 4GB 4G Data for just £25 per month on a 24 month contract! Thats £600 total, which isn't bad considering the cost of this handset sim-free currently. It's also free delivery and NO upfront.

This is the deal I got 4 months ago. More than happy especially as the EU free roaming thing came in so I didn't have to pay extra when I went to Crete. This is on the essentials plan so be warned if you travel outside the EU. Also just got confirmation my gear fit has been dispatched which was a bonus given I wasn't aware of the gear fit offer when I got the deal and it wasn't one of the shops listed with the offer.

On 3 - crap reception. 4gb - only enough for web browsing. The phone itself is around £300. Esave and mobiles.co.uk can beat that with sim only on Vodafone and EE

And where can you get a brand new S7 edge for around 300?
Razi to _b1ff
15 Aug 17#14
£499.99 on Very. Hugely, hugely overpriced. Not different from cheap Chinese phones but my main gripe is with 3 network. I have been bitten repeatedly by this company. Worst service ever. I live in London and there is no signal in my area, never has been, for 3 but they would not accept it. I had to go out of the house to send text messages, the signal was so bad and there was no question of making a phone call. I will never ever again buy a 3 contract no matter what the price. Check signal strength in your area before getting into contract because once in, they would not let you out. Even if you switch on their phone and change date, they would say you have used and modified the phone and you are stuck with it even if there is no signal. Google it up, they have huge number of unsatisfied customers like me.
endothecat to Razi
15 Aug 17#16
That's unfortunate. I don't have a good signal in my house, when I complained, got £5 a month off the contract.
FYI for time machine fans, on Black Friday last year, the S7 (not edge) was at Vodafone for £19 a month and 6gb. Roaming included.

15 Aug 17#20
That so true i used to have to do same thing go outside the house to make calls send messages answer phone calls  ...until i called and threatened(advised by some1 in 3 shop) dat i was gonna leave them no matter and they send us a router or some signal box...now on EE ...Much better

Sorry to hear it. I'm on three sim only and never had an issue. Just bought a sim free S7 edge, if I hadn't I'd be all over this.

sikiliza69 to Mandroid578

I think i sort of get what you mean....
Unlimited minutes and texts + 4GB data from Three is around approx £10 a month for a sim only 12 mth contract = £240(10*24)
Handset only works out to approx £360 (600-240).
Now some people may argue that they could find a similar/better tariff for an equivalent/lower price....
and some people may argue that they could source an unlocked handset price for the S7 Edge for a lower amount ...
Failing upon which, then this particular deal might be considered a great/ good deal.

I was looking to leave Vodafone October to go for mobiles.co.uk
Found out normal advisors can only offer 20% discount while if you get a retention t3am advisor they can offer 30%.
Managed to get around to upgrading to an s8 standard, unlimited mins, text, 6gb (usually 4gb), free up front cost (usually £35), first month off my bill paid for. A free accessory pack (wireless charger, case and 2x screen protectors), all for £35/M (normally £50/M).
I got a lot of the other discounts because I ordered it Friday and was told it'll turn up Monday. It never did I investigated and found out the advisor booked it but didn't confirm the order. Told them i took day off work and guilt tripped them (I work from home), and was given first month off, and 2 extra gb for full length of contract.

Best to do over the phone as well but do record your convo as Vodafone don't always give what they promise.

20 Aug 17#57
I don't think that you understand what I mean. BT uses EE's masts to provide service to BT mobile's customers. BT haven't got a separate group of phone masts just for BT mobile and it's the same with plusnet etc. I included Virgin Mobile in my original comment and are they owned by BT? No. They are competitors but they still use the same mobile network (EE) to provide service to their customers.
Horrorwood to BritishBaba123

BritishBaba123 to Horrorwood

By saying BT doesn't have their own network, I meant as in BT mobile is an MVNO so they have to use EE's masts.
It is also said by Wikipedia ''It uses the EE network[2] via an MVNO agreement signed in March 2014[3]''
So even before BT bought EE, they used their network for BT mobile.

Good deal. I went down the ebay route and got a nearly new S7 Edge for well under £300. However they run £300-350 used generally.
For a simple deal this is really great. If you want more data you could get roughly the same price buying a new S7 on ebay and finding a better SIMO.
Also the S7 Edge is a brilliant phone. In some ways better than the S8 imo - bigger battery, 16:9 screen ratio, front fingerprint sensor. All of that is why I skipped the latest model this generation for the first time in years.

I went from the s6 edge (pretty similar to the s7), now I'm on the s8.
I know where you're coming from. There are features in the older gen which are great (finger print reader in the home button). The s8 screen is amazing, wish I went for the s8+. Camera is same as the s7, slow mo at 240fps is so much fun to use.
The s8 can run most plug in adapters/USB etc (much like my old note 3), unsure if the s7 can or cannot. My s6 edge couldn't.
Theres great things about both phones. Just wish the s8 had a better finger print reader location.

I'm not the sort to criticise a company, certainly not public, but a word of caution re 'Mobile phones direct' I decided to go with this company last month after reviewing them online 1st. I have 100% credit rating, never refused anything... yet since my application was declined with this firm (line rental was with EE), I went through 'experian' to find out why they declined me, then found out they had sent 4 searches through on my name in one day & now down graded my credit application. They want you to then get a phone on finance through them. Not nec a conn but certainly something to consider. Ironically my partner was not declined( from another address) but lots of waffle & security info they wanted him to send via email...I am now awaiting the searches to be removed with help of experian. However in the meantime I cannot risk even trying to get anything on credit or another phone until this is resolved.

I have this, have had it for 6 weeks now. Very annoyed that they had run out of the different colour phones when I ordered, and wouldn't hold my order for a blue or pink phone, saying it was a limited offer. However, it's been a great phone but, the screen marks too easily. You need to buy a screen cover straight away, one like fablon, not a glass one. They don't work with the curved glass. Camera is amazing. It's fast and responsive. Doesn't have some of the random things that cheaper phones have that make life easier, ie skip one alarm, or turn the torch off with a double click of the power button. Have had no problem with 3 coverage. Have been to Spain, London and Norfolk with it, and it's worked everywhere. 3 phone customer service is naff, Indian call centre, but the 3 app is good, with online chat and most things can be resolved thru that. If you want a cheapish monthly contract for a good phone, without paying over £30 a month I'd recommend
