I was in the Northallerton store today and got the lady to check a few things these were down from £2.99 to £1.50 but only had loads of Red Cedar, couple of Forest Green and Medium Oak.
Up the stairs at the back of the store, my advice if your going to buy a few is get a trolley and use the customer lift in the far left corner of the store at the back.

I have used this on brand new fence panels and to repaint old panels.
Three years on and the new panels still look as good as the day they were painted but the old panels have had a few flaking issues.

There are some really unhelpful comments here: this product is certainly not rubbish, it works quite well for fences and sheds, but they will need re-painting every 2-3 years. It is nowhere near as good as finishes such as Sikkens - but it on sale for £1.50/gallon, so it is a bargain for a perfectly good low-end wood finish. I'll but some if it in stock at our local B&M and have voted hot.

For £1.50 you can't go wrong. Yes, you'll need 2 coats but everyone knows this, and if you complain to Ronseal that "it didn't do what it said on the tin" you'll get your money back, so it's like free paint that Ronseal are trying to offload.

This is not the good stuff. More like a primer for the roughest untreated wood. It's worth investing in better Ronseal products if you can.

Did what it said on the tin, looks good after, but quite thin when painting on (maybe a good thing?)
Colour wasn't as I expected though, red cedar was very bright, dark oak (which looked black on the outside) turned out to be nearer brown.

Used this to paint my fence. I'd recommend doing two coats as its quite thin but once done and dried, it looks fab!
