Reasonably high spec computer for just over £400 the one I received was brand new in it's original packaging.

After a week of research now done a fresh instal of Win 10 on SSD and started over. All now fine and happy with PC. Just a shame had to spend time sorting what should have been the delivery state.

Just checked mine and it has 128 gb Samsung ssd, and a 3 TB WD data storage installed.
I'm not impressed with their
"full 25-point inspection by our experienced tech team ensuring they are in full working order."
As the operating system is on the SSD hard drive, someone must have reinstalled it on the main hard drive.

You have hit the nail on the head there . The operating system was on the 3 tb drive . I done the updates and wondered why it took a little bit longer than it should for it to boot back on after a full restart .
So looked in my computer , was nothing there , and in the device manager nothing there .

The operating system should be on the SSD I wonder if you have received the one philmitchell returned and they have stuck a SSD in to it. I would return it, or expect at least £100 off the original price

Hdd is drive C and system drive - 2.8 tb approx free. Frustrating as otherwise all seems good. SSD appears is there, just not being used.

Now received. Not encountered SSD before. I can see the SSD in Device Manager & Disk Management marked up as Disk 0 and 'unallocated' but nowhere else. Windows is on the HDD. I can't even see how I would save something to the SSD as only 'C' HDD drive appears to be option ?. Assume at moment SSD is doing nothing and unless I do something will carry on doing nothing?. Were others the same?. Any advice on what to do to bring SSD into play ? Thanks.

the operating system should be on the SSD
right click the windows sign (bottom left}.. click system... then.... storage... if the operating system is not on the SSD {119 GB drive C} then I would return it.

I did tell the women on the phone, that the specs on the hp site says its got a ssd drive in it .
She asked a case manger and he said it does not, sounded like he could not be bothered, I don't normally use a credit card, but I did on this .
The people you speak to on the phone, don't have a clue about computers or anything like it .

I'm very happy with mine, worked first time out of the box (allowing for 20 minutes of updates) rapid start up and nice audio.
I'm not a gamer so I can't say how well it will perform for games.

What do you guys think of it? (other than the problems you just mentioned that is ) I've just gone for this today, as it seemed like a decent price with the code, hopefully mine will have the SSD in tho

By the way found the full spec of the desktop here. Does anyone know if this is a good deal? (i.e. could I spend £50-100 and get something better?)
I think from doing a look around it has a weird graphics card and low power supply. In terms of gaming at low settings would this be okay?
But cannot really find anything comparable for a similar price (or around £500).

He is referring to this £1 Which trial. There is also 2% cashback on quidco (not sure if the code and quidco can be used together).

Picked up a refurbished HP Omen from this company only this week. Delivery was quick 'elected' for the free option. Although it didn't have the original packaging, it was like new. Also had 7 months HP warranty left.
