ReCore has been reduced in price by 50% as of 28th August.
I'm assuming this is the new "standard" digital price to tie in with the release of the definitive edition which adds various new content (along with HDR support) and apparently addresses some of the issues the game had at release.
I know it's been cheaper physically (and still may be) but if you game share with a buddy (as I do) you can get it for £7.495 each (yes I'm that pedantic!) or even cheaper with Cdkeys (or similar) if you get £15 credit at
If you also buy from other regions, it will reduce in price again. We tend to buy from Brazil or Canada
But, of course you need to factor in the purchase of credit from the applicable region using a credit reseller site like G2A etc.
I notice it's also available on the Xbox Game Pass service so If you haven't used your free trial you could also play it that way or pay the monthly sub of £11.99 for the pleasure.
I haven't personally played it, and I heard mixed opinions at release, so wondered what others thoughts were and whether it's worth £4.865! :-)

Bought it yesterday. Cheap in Russia, for additional savings. Posted a bit too and write liking it (for this price).

Bought it on disc at first release and I've never even opened it! Do disc owners get upgraded to this version does anyone know?

They do, yes  I've still to update mine, but I really enjoyed this game when I purchased it. I stopped playing after a bit to wait for this patch and the HDR additions, but I'm reading good things about the fixes, especially on the respawn loading after death. Apparently it's down from 30 seconds to around 5-8.

I'm glad they sorted the respawn loading thing as the majority of reviews I read highlighted that as being a big issue
Someone described it to me as similar to Zelda. Is that accurate?

I think you'll get a few descriptions of the game. From what I played of it, I'd describe it more of a Borderlands-esque looking game with elements of Tomb Raider thrown in. But as I said bud, I didn't play too much of it, so I could be completely off the mark with that

Did they fix the collectible tracking? I collected everything and didn't get the achievements :disappointed:

Improved the Combo Meter to encourage much higher combo amounts, with the ability to chain combos for a longer period of time.
At high combos (more than x10), the player now keeps some of the Combo Meter after using an extract
Global weapon tuning, enemy health and damage balancing, and late game encounter improvements
General
Enhanced visuals (increased resolution and HDR support)
20 New Achievements and 500 gamerscore
Increased level cap from 30 to 40
4 new bosses and Tank challenges
Various UX and Feedback fixes (Core Pulling HUD, Combo Counter feedback & wordsmithing, menu navigation)
Audio for pickups, combat feedback, rewards improved
Dialogue from Corebots and Violet is no longer in the Corebot language and is now readable
Cheers Buzz. I'll definitely go back to it if they have fixed that. It was a diamond in the rough.

Is this game actually in Xbox game pass or just cheaper to buy if you have game pass? Also if you want it on PC getting it as part of game pass won't help will it?

Good question. I am downloading it on my Xbox with the trial and it says Xbox play anywhere so it could be playable on pc
This is the handy guide Silhouette did ages ago - the majority is still relevant but you can no longer use revolut and PayPal only works if it's "main address" is in the xbox region you are purchasing from.
So pretty much the only viable regular use option is to use places like offgamers to buy credit and then set up a fake address on your Microsoft account for the relevant region.
It means you always have a bit of left over credit but it's the only way to do it now since they blocked revolut cards :-(

I was aware of the thread, but would like to know how people buy from Russia now I use Evopoints for South African credit and Offgamers for Brazilian, but neither sell Russian credit.

I bought my last lot of rubles from g2a but I can't see any current sellers on there... I did however just get some more USD as it always works out cheaper than others for me as they sell USD at below cost price sorta thing.
That's who I regularly use to buy Russian credit - as always there's abit of a fee but you can reduce that by buying in bulk

Last time I bought something from the Russian store, I could still use PayPal. Anyway... Just bought myself 500 rubles from seagm.com/xbo…sia which was painless. Assuming you've gone through and set up a Russsian billing address on your account, you can't redeem the code directly from the "redeem code" option as it no longer allows cross region. However! Click "Buy" and when it asks how you'd like to pay the balance (chrome's translation is invaluable here), click onto the next screen and there is a little gift card image next to the line "activate payment card". Click this option and you'll be able to redeem the gift card and complete the purchase. Good luck!

Where did you get your credit from out of curiousity?
Prices fluctuate and you may get a small additional charge if using PayPal

The one reservation I would have is that it does have Games With Gold written all over it but maybe not for some time...so depends how bothered you are about playing now
