Ordered 2 xiomi bands off gearbest and both were DOA, to be fair to them they have offered a refund, replacement or store credit after recording a quick video showing them both DOA.
Just fair warning to people though.

Be careful using discount codes with ScamBest!!!! I ordered the Mi Band 2 with a code last week and while passing my payment to PayPal, scummy GearBest switched the currency to US Dollars and removed the discount. I emailed to complain and they did nothing until after they'd dispatched and then told me it was tough luck. Double check the amount before confirming your payment with these slippery, scamming, rubbish customer service chancers.

If you live message fitbit with all your details they will replace the hr free of charge. We've done it twice. Must be a design flaw.

I've had Mi Band 2 just a few days and I still can't believe how good it is for the money. Bargain of the year so far, especially when compared to a Fitbit Alto.
I know that is off topic for this deal, but it does show just how good the China deals are now.

anyone know how it measures distance travelled? does it use gps?
shakerstevens to mutley1
21 Aug 17#21
It measures approx distance travelled but not GPS so it will not map your run/walk unless you have a phone in your pocket with GPS. If you go for a run/walk without your phone it will still track distance just not the actual route.

Anyone used this? Is the battery life as good as xiomi mi band 2 (70 days)?
hash47 to zzakzz
21 Aug 17#3
Its 70mAh Lithium Ion, so I suspect 15 days max. But funny thing is that xiomi band 2 alos have 70mAh so it must be same

I love my mi band 2 but it lasts about 2 weeks. When I bought it new in January I got about 4 weeks out of it. Never 70 days

I have one and have ordered another. Connection has occasionally been flakey but not too bad. Works well for me to give me notifications as my phone is permanently on silent. Happy enough for £7-8

Also wouldn't even connect to bluetooth on my Redmi Note 4, although technically it should, so waste of money for my household as no phone compatible. Connected to my daughters Galaxy S8 though. Waste of money if you cant connect either to bluetooth or the app it would seem.

Agree about the Lenovo HW01... Mine fell to pieces after 3 months of normal use the face screen fell off and the strap split away from the body.... waste of money stick with mi band 2 much better build and app.

absolutely diabolical reviews for the Fundo Bracelet app on the play store ..... buyer beware

This is a great point.
After getting the Lenovo HW01 and regretting it immensely, I have to say a lot of value with these wristbands is definitely in the app. Even if the hardware is decent (which in the case of the HW01 it is), with a near useless app the whole tracking aspect fails.
If this app is getting awful reviews I would definitely avoid it and just go for the Mi Band 2 if you're looking for something in the budget wristband category.

Just get miband2 :-) aside from the 4 week wait for delivery. Best £10 I've spent this year :joy:

Just registered an account to warn people. I bought this a few weeks back when a deal through Tomtop was posted. I saw the bad reviews and thought i would take a chance. The QS80 DOES NOT WORK with the official app or any app i have tried (i tried many 3rd party ones). Look at the reviews on Amazon it seems like no one can get it to work.
30% of reviews are 5 star (probably fake), 60% are 1 star. Everyone is saying the same thing, it does not sync with the app. So dont waste your time buying it. I think the websites know it doesn't work which is why they are discounting it so much, they realise people probably wont bother returning it for £8.
There are plenty of other cheap fitness bands out the like the xiaomi mi band 2 which are only around £15. I havent used one myself but people give them decent reviews try one of those instead.
