I'd want a hydrostatic head of at least 3,000 although I prefer over 5,000 myself.
1,500 would have badly leaked the last couple of weeks away in Cornwall for a few of the days. :grin:

perhaps, but the weather has been terrible lately and let's face it - there are 2 man tents that cost much more than 50 quid - this tent is more of a cheap solution for a festival or a small camping trip

I bought an Argos tent like this in 2006. It has been fantastic, withstanding some ferocious Scottish winds and rainstorms as well as the much more expensive family tents of my fellow campers.
It is a bit crude in construction, with heavy poles, and takes longer to erect than expensive tents of the same type but if it is being carted around in a car and nobody is in a mad hurry these factors are not important.
