Excellent bedside lamps. The missus is a little less enthusiastic about them, though.

"Suitable for light outdoor use" Is that just a pun or does it mean it's waterproof?

Think J118 Led lamps is what you need if converting to LED . I haven't done it myself so not 100% but looks like they should fit.

I bought these bulbs with mine yesterday. Fits perfectly and it costs only £1.19. Good if you are not using the light for long hours as they are 400w bulbs, haha.
Yes, but how halogens can still be called 'eco' beats me :unamused:

Bought two of 10watt pir ones yesterday and just tried them ,blooming bright so thought of replacing portable 150 watt light with a led one.So managed to just get a 20 watt one for £5.39,just this minute had a phone call from Liz in Screwfix that its not available and has a 15 watt so ok;d it for 4.99. So I am going to make holder for the led light and use that ,the halogen get too hot and the slightest knock the bulb fails, hope the led more reliable.

I purchased the 0103-EB Portable Site Light (3529K) and the LAP Slimline LED Floodlight 10W Black (2174P). Both are £2.99. The LED flood light can be mounted on the portable site light stand. Now I get a portable LED site light for £5.98. Not bad!
