Does anyone have any experience of changing deals when already on Plusnet Mobile? It seemed like you'd have to order a new SIM, go through the 30-day notice on the old one and get the number ported, rather than just being able to transfer package?

Very easy call them or use online chat service and they will change the deal over for you

Although make sure the deal does go through on your next billing date. Upgraded from a 4gb package to 5gb and it didn't change on my online account. Contacted them and they said "technical glitch blah blah" and would have to process it again for the next billing date.
Offered to reimburse any charges for going over data allowance but still worth making sure everything goes through as it should

I had the same issue with the system not changing me over to the tariff i'd requested. I got confirmation emails/texts but on my anniversary date nothing had changed. 4 months in a row this happened until it was FINALLY passed over to tech guys and the following month it did change over. Some people's experiences may differ but i had all sorts of aggro getting my tariff changed. I also heard all the excuses...tech glitch...all sorted now...migration issues. Anyway, Plusnet is great once you can get onto the tariff you request.

I went through a tariff change today and had no problems all went smoothly

Has it went through on your account ?? I thought mine went smoothly until the following month when my allowance remained at 4gb.
Obviously i was one of the unlucky ones as they'll do plenty of tariff changes and most will go through no problem but always worth checking

They only have to send you a new SIM if you've been on a legacy Life 3G plan previously and even then you don't have to wait 30 days or port your number, its a very straightforward process.

Thanks. Was wondering about this, I'm still on the old 1GB 3G £6 deal, now have a Xiaomi Redmi 4x and keeping eye out for a suitable deal.

I very recently switched to this from my old Life 3G 1.5Gb, 1000 minutes, unlimited texts which I was paying £5.95 for, no brainer.

Terrible deal. I paid £10 for unlimited texts, 1500 & 5GB data for 30 days.
Additionally there was a uswitch deal with unlimited mins and texts for £9
Might still be active.

How is it a terrible deal  ? People gauge their usage, if you're not going to use more than 3.5 GB per month then you actually save money. Deals are only value for money if you actually use your allowance, there is no point in having extra unused allowance.

I would avoid plusnet tbh. I just switch to them and unbelievably no Internet at all! It's my 3rd day since porting my old number. After googling, turns out this is well known issue on Jan 2017. I could not believe it is still going on September! I'm really considering switching out if this is not resolved next week

Has anyone had any issues with plusnet signal? I've got a plusnet sim and it keeps swapping between TMobile, EE & plusnet signal. All on EE, the problem is I can only make calls on plusnet!

No problems for me, always displays Plusnet and works at all times

Thinking of ditching plusnet and going back to Vodafone. Reception in some buildings where I work is atrocious. Seems a common issue with EE. Never had problems with o2 or Vodafone.

Higher spectrum and lower 900mhz went to 4G, 2G calls suffer and 3G is on 2100mhz, lower the spectrum the better the indoor/building penetration.

Vodafone are renowned for the worst customer service out of all network providers and if you think 02 have better reception than EE I would buy a new phone it must be faulty.

Seems like a good deal. Wonder if they'll do anything for existing broadband customers. Right now they offer 2GB, 1,000 minutes and unlimited texts for £7.50 on a 30 day contract. This seems much better.

Good deal, will tell the wife to upgrade to this - shes always going over the data allowance on her current £6/m plusnet mobile deal.

I've recently moved to Plusnet from Tesco & have had no problems reception wise so far (three days in). The deal I got was unlimited minutes, unlimited texts & 5GB of data for £10 on a rolling sim 30 day contract.
I've ported my number over (you can do it via text) & it took about 22 hours. Plusnet sent me confirmation texts & emails (see quote below) informing me that my number was being processed to be ported.
[Plusnet Quote] Brilliant news, your mobile number port will be complete very soon.
While this is happening you might have a short period of disruption to your service - we suggest turning your phone off and on again every so often to make sure the changes take effect.
To check that the number has transferred, simply make a test call from the phone and check that the right number is displayed on the receiving phone.
If you need us, give us a call for free on 500 from your Plusnet mobile or 0800 079 1133 from any other phone.
Thanks, The Plusnet Mobile

So Plusnet are moving to 12m terms ? Poor deal in comparison to what +Net mobile offered on 30 day terms - on that ground its cold from me
