I found some 300g packet of Ginger Nuts for £0.17 it had clearance label on the shelf. I take my time and walk around the store

There is something in the lining of tins that causes cancer cannot remember the name off hand, think it begins with p. Just like plastic bottles should not be left in the sun as the chemical seeps into the contents. The more acidic the contents the more likely it is to leak, and the worst of the worst is tinned tomatoes. Buy fresh tomatoes.

The FSA advice at present is that levels of BPA found in food are not
considered harmful. The agency says that independent experts have
worked out how much BPA we can consume over a lifetime without coming to
any harm, and that the amount absorbed from food and drink is
significantly below this level.
Independent studies have found that even when consumed at high
levels, BPA is rapidly absorbed, detoxified and eliminated from the
body, and therefore is not a health concern.
