I have this and it's a great tablet in my view. Only problem I found was the China ROM installed was usable but not really compatible with Google Play (which you have to install yourself). I downloaded the Global ROM from the below link and now everything flies along:

When my Hudl 2 packed-in recently I done quite a bit of research as I wanted the best bang-for-buck I could get. Good Android tablets at reasonable prices seem rare these days. I ended up getting a Lenovo but I found the screen and performance very poor despite it having a respectable 2GB RAM. I sent it back. There is another Lenovo 8 inch on here now that's going hot on the link below but it wouldn't be for me. If it's anything like the one I had then it's not half the tablet the Mi Pad 3 is. Just my view of course.
The FNF Ifive Mini 4s is actually rated higher than this Xiaomi tablet on techtablets. Though not as good IMO as the Xiaomi because it has half the ram and storage, it is considerably cheaper.
The one you have link to is not the one on techtablets different processor the one on techtablets has MTK helio x20 while the one in gearbest link has rock chip RK3288 so not the same tablet

Interested in buying this tablet and i am certainly no expert in buying products off these far eastern suppliers but had a look on aliexpress and this tablet is about £199 which obviously is rather dearer but comes with it says the global rom 8.2 and google play store,also thought you had a better guarantee on buying products from them if anything went wrong,any thoughts. aliexpress.com/ite…3_3

Hi. The Global ROM 8.2 is basically the China ROM. It may have Google Play installed by the seller but it runs flakey. Mine came with 8.2 but as per my comments above I flashed the ROM available from en.miui.com which works much better.

What rom did you flash the only rom for mi pad 3 i can find from your link is either the stable rom version 8.2.8.0 NCICNEB or the developer rom version 7.7.6 what rom is now on your tablet

Ok changed my mind DopeyDunker and might buy from banggood but when i see the instructions for the global ROM version 7.5.11 from the link if i buy the tablet where are the links to download files-apparently the links are in the youtube video,do not want to cock this up.
