O2 Priority has been a community favourite for freebies and discounts but today is the last week for the £1 lunches. Shame really, it was only a few months ago they removed Boots and now the whole thing.
The offer is valid between 11am to 3pm (the “Promotional Period”). Exclusions apply. Meal deal includes a sandwich, drink and a snack. Customers please note that there is a limited time window in which to both reveal and redeem your code. Please bear this in mind if your are in a queue or over 2 minutes away from the till point. The Priority ‘£1 Lunch’ offer is a single-use discount code and can only be redeemed once per customer and at one participating retailer (WHSmith, Upper Crust, Pumpkin, Café Ritazza & Dominos) during the Promotional Period. Once you redeem your code at one of the participating retailers during the Promotional Period you will be unable to redeem another code at any other retailer during the same Promotional Period. Subject to retailer stock availability.

I honestly don't see why people are still on 02. Pay massively over the odds for data packages etc they offer unlimited minutes and texts and people think they're getting a good deal but with all of the apps people use, needing unlimited texts isn't necessary, not many people would use over 800 minutes per month, it's the small data packages that run out and require further purchases or very expensive big data packages that they screw you over on. Now even the little perks like this are going

I think many people are actually not on O2 like myself. O2 Priority is available to Pay Monthly as well as Pay as you Go so ordering a free sim on their website activates O2 Priority just fine

Me like millions of others was just putting a O2 sim in to get the deals. I am on three. I never understood why they would stop it when I would not go into any of these places now they took the offer away.

I have an O2 pay-as-you-go as a 2nd SIM card and I get all OS Priority benefits. I actually find their international calling rates quite reasonable, and although I use VOIP (Viber, Facebook messenger, Whatsapp) most of the time to call my family in Egypt, I find the O2 SIM card quite handy as a backup when I need to make an urgent call where internet speed isn't that great either in the UK or in Egypt.
It's a shame that £1 lunch is being discontinued - I religiously used it every Monday for the last two years.

They took away free activation a while ago, had to add £10. Still pays for itself, of course, but less so now. Boots was the biggest loss, WHSmith's equivalent was dismal quality considering it's basically the same thing. The sandwiches were godawful, I'm amazed they sell any at the asking price.
The retailers must have been finding that it wasn't worth it, fair enough, but o2 are going to lose so many people if the Caffe Nero one goes too.

I think it's gone downhill in the last few months. I habitually check all the offers daily but lately feel that it's a waste of time. Mostly restaurant deals (high markup area anyway so discounts are the order of the day), entry to competitions, and other pretty worthless stuff. Ok some will take advantage but it's not what it used to be. Having said that...the Caffe Nero freebie is a gem  ...hope it lasts!

Too much abuse of a system will eventually kill it.

I doubt abuse was the issue - they also periodically checked your number.
Once Boots went, it wasn't worth the hassle for many people. All the others were more sparsely located.

What abuse are you referring to?

The fact that a lot of people just put an O2 PAYG sim into their unlocked phone to install the priorities app then went back to their usual sim

Sure it was just on a Monday? Only WHSmith travel stores have sandwiches such as those at train stations. Alternatives to WHSmith are available

Was only WH Smith that was close to my work. Boots was the only good one, and they dumped that months ago..!

Ah, this explains why they stopped the employee/O2 campus £1 Monday meal last week. It will be missed by thousands of us that work on sites that have O2 workers :disappointed:
