Asda have this on line priced at £25 although Currys and others have it for £15. I don't know whether this deal is store specific. There seems to be a toy figure included in the box.

Probably store specific.
Looks like they are clearing the ones with the "Game of Thrones" toy figure inside.

Is this really good? Would it worth me cancelling my virgin and getting Now TV instead? Just wondering

I wouldn't advise cancelling your Virgin TV until you've tried it! I find that NowTV is OK but we've had issues streaming from it (poor quality and buffering) on the two occasions we've had it, we've tried using apps and the box but it's still not great. I know a couple of other people who've also had similar problems, despite having no issues being able to stream Netflix etc. Very strange!

I have a 10 meg connection and Nowtv streams fine along with amazon prime and Netflix

Depends what you watch. You'd have sky one, fox and sky Atlantic which are the three main requirements for me. Quality is respectable, 720p. I generally have not had buffering problems, they occasionally happen if you watch popular shows live. But watching on catch-up is preferable since you don't get ads.
It probably would pay you to ditch Virgin but you'll still need internet, and you might also want a way to record freeview.

I went to ASDA Benton - with Entertainment pass was still £25. Kids pass was £15 - so got that. Then I went to Sainsbury's at Whitley Bay and they had NOWTV with Entertainment pass for £13.50 - while a special, the price was printed on the box and not a sticker. They had a few left. Wish I'd seen the earlier deal. Listed on 16th July

This is a great deal especially as NOWTV are increasing the price of their entertainment pass! Will be £7.99 from August 15th.

These need to be connected to your network in order to stream. They include apps for iPlayer, itv hub, all 4 and channel 5 so you could watch them live, but still needs a network.
