Great deal if you can get one. I see they are doing various deals all ending at the same time.

I'd hold off guys, I hear lots of people think it's going to plummet in price a couple of months after launch :joy:

Yeah it's hard to tell with nintendo. The 3ds went down because it was expensive for what it was, but for the Wii U practically never did. Personally I'm waiting for either a price drop or hope the revised model later on will improve some of the limitations.

Switch is on the verge of being hacked, must be on firmware 3.0.0 and below so expect stock to dwindle and prices staying high

I was speaking to the guy on Amazon chat and he said he didn't think it's going to sell out quickly, as they have lots of stock in their latest batch and Nintendo is sending more next week. If retailers are finally getting a decent amount of stock, then we might start seeing enough comeptition for some discount offers.

Might start seeing some discounted offers if people didn't swallow that old chestnut Nintendo always do which is release new stuff in trickles to build up the hype so people rip it off the shelves at any cost.
There's no games for it yet, what there is you can get on the Wii U or have had on the Wii U for years already!
If punters had held back a bit rather than snapping this machine up willy nilly I can assure you Nintendo would have already bundled it with either Zelda or Splatoon 1.5 for the the 280 quid price tag.

I don't think Nintendo will do deals anytime soon, but if the stock issue is resolved, then I could see stores trying to do deals in order to compete with each other.

Why would they do deals anytime soon whilst people are kicking the living daylights out of each other to snap up a system that don't even have any games yet?
That was my point, if people held back and didn't buy it for the above mentioned reason Nintendo would feel inclined to at least bundle it with one of the Wii U ports to motivate them to buy it.
There are certain members on this site who accuse me of being anti Nintendo and a 'mainstream console' PS/XB fan boy which is utter tosh, it's just I won't be suckered in to buying anything that ain't worth it and at the moment the Switch definitely ain't worth it!
I refused to get a PS4 till it had something worth playing and got bundled with Infamous, refused to get an Xbone till the special edition Halo console bundled with the game came out, bought the Wii U Lego City bundle when it was on a special and the same with all generations before.
If all gamers held firm and took this stance we would get more for our money much quicker, it ain't rocket science

They are only "kicking the living daylights out of each other to snap it up" because the system was in short supply. Also most of that crowd are the fans who have bough a system now.
Now that the system is in supply, they'll be less frantic demand for it, so the retailers can do discounts.

Erm I have actually been acknowledging that depressing fact throughout this but I don't think you're quite getting what I'm saying.........there has been absolutely no logical reason for there to ever be a frantic demand for the Switch because it's not had any games to be frantic about, they are only Wii U ports!
The short supply has, as always, been purposely manufactured by Nintendo to create this smoke n mirrors hype train that the punters 'need' to get one quick or it'll be sold out again :unamused: so all the Nintenuts and of course the rediscovered lunatic bandwagon jumping casuals go and buy a machine at full whack that ain't even brought anything to the table yet.
If nobody bought a product that's not even worth buying yet there would not be frantic demand and the only frantic people would be Nintendo because it would dawn on them the consumer has wised up to their same old tactics so they would drop the price

Well, retailers did cut the price of the WiiU. I got mine in my special offer deal for £199 about 6 months after the launch (It was a one day only deal). At the time, the regular price was £250.

I didn't think paying 300 quid for a console with so few games was worth it so scoured the internet for a cheap Wii U and found one with MK8 for 60 quid. I really want a Switch though but I wanna see some more big titles arrive and some more serious 3rd party support before I jump in.
Finally in stock again though so heat added and good for people desperate to have one.

Was a lot more than just one console at that price it pains me to say :rage:
Hate Gameseek with a passion and hate Winsford just as much, nuke the khazi for all I care, but have to say fair play to them for honouring every single Switch pre-order at the 198 quid they had it up for months before it came out

You know that's a scam right? No one is actually getting any of these "cyclonic deals"
