This item has now disappeared from the Kikatek website altogether and the Kikatek buying option on this item on the Amazon website has also disappeared. No option but to expire this deal.

You are wrong. I find smart phones very frustrating when to you cannot use google maps to help with directions. Time is money and and if your phone does not help you find your way in the maze ,what good it is ? Penny wise Pound foolish.

You are wrong. You can still use Googlemaps, you are supposed to be a man, you sound weak posting your incompetent views on here. The rest of us get on without a compass just fine. YOU don't need a compass, YOU need a montage.

I have to vote hot, personally I would give up NFC for working compass, as an estate agent it is actually very useful, both for the which way does this face and can't find street even when you think you know where it is.

Would you consider the US version instead then?

How is this better than the existing G5 plus?

Looks like the camera that's about it. Not sure the lack of compass is a massive issue is it? You can still see yourself moving when walking and using Google Maps.

Actually there are a total of 5 improvements over the standard G5 Plus: 1. Rear camera is dual lens and upgraded to 13 megapixels. 2. Front camera has been upgraded to 8 megapixels. 3. All metal body including the sides. 4. Screen size increased to 5.5 inches. 5. Android 7.1 out of box.
All these extra enhancements for near enough the same money. Sounds like a no-brainer to me!

Here's the comparison between it and the normal G5 Plus. gsmarena.com/com…453 Looks like it's slightly bigger 5.5" compared to 5.2". My G5 Plus is the perfect size for me. I had the G4 Plus before which was 5.5" and I found that slightly harder to reach the full screen with one hand.

The world's gone crazy. Kikatek via Amazon now showing at £318.28 !!!!!
That link is for the standard G5 Plus version and not the special edition G5S Plus model. That is expected to sell for £259.00 from Motorola and is still showing as "Register for Updates"

no magnetometer on this EU version (NFC instead) which makes using google maps for navigation on foot useless. US version doesnt get NFC but has magnetometer. Crazy penny pinching - could have been the perfect phone for me apart from that.

The picture is wrong. Didn't think it was released. I'm waiting. Looks like a good phone. There is an India press release on 29th.
