Microsoft runs HUP program for home use for its large clients, employees of such large companies can download & install Office products for just £9.95. Go to link, submit your WORK EMAIL ID - if your company has subscribed to this then you would get an email that would have link for downloading the products. I have been using for years, and no issues at all.

£2.89 off ebay seems legit,
ORIGINAL OFFICE PROFESSIONAL PLUS 2016 32 /64BIT LICENSE KEY SCRAP PC i bought one seems fine..
Yeah it will work but it's not a legit licence. These sellers state the keys are from 'scrap' computers to appease eBay but it's simply not true.

Any advice on where to get software from ? To apply key ? Thanks

When you buy the key they should give you a link to where to download the software. Failing that sign in to a MS account i.e one drive/hotmail and use this link. It should start downloading straight away.
Only applies in the eu, doesn't apply in the USA, as the courts have ruled in favour of microsoft hence the confusion and why many sites give out the information that applies to America !
it also means you can transfer your win licenses to another machine with out any issue.

It's not the enterprise version you get for home use. The software is purely for home/ personal use

And who owns the copyright on what you produce using software paid for by your employer?
Does your employer have the same access to what they would have in you produced this in work?

Employer is not paying. You pay at reduced cost. You still keep the software even if you change company. What you produce is all yours. The only difference here is you buy at reduced cost

Still to get you to do work at home or whats the point of your employer offering the service. Here you go have Excel and Access at home, oh look you make databases and spreadsheets at work too. Now you have the software you could do that at home when you get bored!

Just an observation. Office 2016 is very good, but Google offer a free alternative to Word and Excel that is that not that easy to find. Just register for a Google account. Can make up any name and details you like. Login and use Google Sheets and Google Docs for nothing. Only works properly whilst online, and all changes are automatically saved as you work, with full roll back.
Some features on Google Sheets are better than Excel. Also fully compatible with Excel and Word files. There are other free apps, but I only use Sheets for live updates of information. Repeat - not suitable unless you can work online, will also work with other devices.

Despise the Google stuff, find it difficult to use and with a lot less features than the Office software. Obviously it's free so can't overly complain.

"Why do you need my work email address? The terms of this program require that you have a valid email address with a participating company. AND You need a program code from your employer to be eligible."

I believe it's like if company is participating in the program then it would recognize just with your work email id.or else it would ask program code with a generic email or if company is not participating...it did not ask me program code but it did when my friend used his work email and he works for a different company..just a guess

It violates Microsoft’s EULA so it’s piracy mate, no matter how the people that push it try to dress it up.

You need an organisation code for NHS - you will need to check with your IT or corporate as I recall something about NHS cutting benefits and this may have been one to save costs.. along with the sink.. beds etc
I'm leaving the s***hole and back to private sector as NHS is screwed as not managed or funded - double edge fubar!
