They're Micro. They're Machines. And they're BACK!
Micro Machines World Series will retain the manic social game play of the classic series, but will bring a new dimension to the experience with stunning HD visuals - taking you to the much-loved household environments as they've never been seen before.
As well as bringing to you the classic game modes like Race and Elimination, Micro Machines World Series will introduce a new style of game play to the series: Battle Mode. The all-new Battle Arenas will allow you to wreak mass destruction on a miniature scale against your friends or the AI. Meanwhile, Team Play lets you work together using your vehicles' unique skills with modes such as 'King of the Hill' or 'Capture the Flag'!
The game's been designed around fun and frantic play at every turn, meaning there will never be a dull moment on the racetrack or in the arena. Micro Machines World Series is the ultimate pick-up-and-play experience for players of all ages and abilities, offering intuitive, easy-to-learn controls that make the controller impossible to put down.

The game itself isn't too bad. For me the awful matchmaking killed it. I always seemed to get matched with one human and 8 reasonably skilled bots.

This isn't worth £10 new IMO. The single biggest let-down of the last two or three years for me.

I'd echo what others have said here. You can get Toybox Turbos for much less which is essentially the same game but oddly enough has more tracks even though I believe codemasters made both! I had it on eBay within a few hours of playing it, garbage...

Exactly what everyone else says - lack of single player championship and minimal tracks (especially in local multiplayer) make this extremely disappointing. I would have been disappointed to pay half this, let alone the full price for preordering for download. If I had the same option as Neosalad, I would have traded it in within the week too. Sadly I didn't have that option. :disappointed:
Also have a 5 year old, but she would far rather play Minecraft or Super Toy Cars than this.

Loved the original. A staple classic for many hours of gaming (maybe with a few beers while we were at it). This version feels a bit lite I'm afraid to say. Get it for the nostalgia but don't expect a lot...

Just about worth it for £15.
Defiitely half-baked, lack of tracks, a single-player Champ, boats.
Shame that V3 (on PS1) had more to do!
Gameplay and looks are spot on though!

Well actually, you have local multiplayer, so as such, it's ok for my 5 year old. If you are just buying this for you, then probably don't.

The game does have multiplayer modes, both online and local.
