Definitely stick to the mega drive version - don't usually log in on the app but did and saw a notification - I'd forgotten about this monstrosity and it's just brought back feelings of being unfulfilled and violated by codemasters....

Was so looking forward to this but the reviews and general hate it's been getting has put me right off.

Toybox turbos is the game micromachines should have been!

This game is appalling. I often check reviews etc but having seen how good crash remastered was and playing a number of other successfully remastered games, I did not bat an eyelid at 25 quid. Boy was I wrong - I think I played it with a mate for about 10 mins before we finally admitted that it was poor and just wasn't fun at all. All the great things about the 1st two games are missing and instead it's just another generic top down racer. If it was free I still wouldn't play it - if I can spare anyone else my disappointment then my money wasn't completely lost in vain

Seen this when it was out (was during the Steam Summer Sale), was going to get it on the name alone, but the reviews warned me off.
Currently on sale on Steam for £2.99.. Much better game!

Good call mate. Cannot complain either at £2.99. Micro Machines is a crock of excrement. I pre ordered the digital copy because of the nostalgia, but really wish I hadn't bothered.

Another classic name cashed in on & failed miserably. Rip micro machines, and Tony hawk's Pro skater

What a game! If you haven't already played it then please don't bother. See what I did there

The free game on the phone is 100x better.
Bought digital on Xbox & managed to get a refund (was 24.99!!), fails on a lot of fronts which is a shame because I was looking forward to it.

Me too. Straight traded it for Rime. Best decision I made... I was so let down by it. Not least because local multiplayer was a sham, and most of the opponents online were AI.

Nothing about this game suggests it's worth even a tenner

Judging by reviews might be worth it if the 9 wasn't at the front
