Thanks op been looking for something to replace my ageing T7900 creative 7.1 set that I have had for over ten years. This will blow my Office up :-) wasn’t going to bother but after reading the reviews ... why not :-)
Just had a dispatch note and states cost of 129.99. Obviously not VAT to be added as that would take it to more than 155 so anyone know what's happening? I was charged 155.

I have been using my Logitech Z5500 (the previous model that was replaced by the Z906 in around 2011) for nearly 10 years now and it is still going strong... Still can't find an excuse to replace it yet.

completely off topic but I have the Z5500 but I've never found a suitable stand for the rear speakers. How have you guys solved this problem?

I got my Monoprice stands when they were about £8 per pair (amazon.co.uk/gp/…5D4), but the price has gone up a lot since then...

I hang them on picture hooks around the room so act as a surround sound each set on opposite walls and the other speaker on one of the other walls.

Had my Z5500 system for a long time but had so many issues with it. If something does go wrong with these 5.1 systems, it's very hard to get a replacement part!
My system is useless now that my control pod doesnt work.
Logitech are not interested in helping outside of a warranty.
The sound from it is incredible though.

Same here, wondering there is still no better speaker set on market than Z5500

I have had the same Logitech Z5500 and they have been great for many years apart from being very sensitive to electrical interference, so if someone turns the lights on in another room i will get a pop sound through the speakers. Have you ever had this? Or when i shutdown and start up the PC they make a popping sound. :disappointed: Other than that they work fine and are crystal clear speakers

Might be worth mentioning I recently bought some Z337's, which are great but they do have one problem, when the audio doesn't receive a sufficiently loud audio signal for 5-10 minutes or so the speakers turn off. The speakers do turn back on if I play loud audio through them again, but it takes a second or so, and I've found this incredibly annoying. I've had to resort to scheduling a background task on my PC to periodically play a sub-audible .wav to get around this infuriating power-saving feature.
I don't know if it definitely affects the Z906 too, but might be worth looking into if you're thinking of buying these.

Logitech doing good work. I have Z5500 for decade, and month ago, i get a letter from council, for "antisocial behaviour". They still have it

These are meant to be good. But i had a set of logitech speakers before and hated them . just invested in wharfdale diamond 10.1 and a cambridge audio azure 650a used for less than this , no surround but much better sound and will last 20 years easy

Diamond series are excellent speakers. I've got some 9.1s with a 9.cc & a tannoy Sub set up with the PC and works brilliantly for the price.

I've had my Z5450 's for about 10 years now and they still sound incredible. The LCD display has dimmed, and one of the wireless speakers has stopped, but they've been great.

Don't think I really needed these but I bought them anyways as the reviews seem pretty impressive and should replace the free soundbar+sub which came with the TV. Darn you Tomcrocker (read that as very good find)

This is a steal. Nearly the same price I paid for the baby brother 2.1 version z623 a few years ago. I don't know why I'm so tempted because the Z623 are more than enough and then some. Enjoy, to whomever pulls the trigger on these.

I also have the Logitech Z5500. It has street shaking Bass. lacking top end but I have a separate piezo tweeter for that. I paid £250 around 10 years ago so this is a brilliant price
i ordered few weeks ago, yesterday my soundblaster z arrived and the volume/sound quality dramatically improved over standard integrated sound card. Now the system sounds well nice and the volume is actually scary. Hate your neighbours? Get one!

Probably less demand now with soundbar and all-in-one devices. Would be good too see one with HDMI inputs.
