Noticed Currys currently have 20% off certain PC accessories, however the G29 set has been slipped in there also! Perfect for GT Sport on PS4 next month, or maybe Dirt 4 if you recently picked it up

Enhance your PC and console racing games with the Logitech Racing Wheel & Gearstick Bundle.
The Logitech Driving Force G29 Racing Wheel gives you the definitive racing sim experience for the PlayStation 3, 4 and PC.
With a powerful dual-motor force-feedback mechanism and helical gearing, the G29 provides smooth, accurate simulation of traction loss, weight shift and drifting to help you feel every turn in the road.
Respond with precision - the Driving Force Steering Wheel is engineered with solid steel ball bearings in the wheel shaft and stainless steel paddle shifter and pedals that gives you accurate control as you tear up the track.
Expertly modelled after automotive transmissions gears, the G29's helical gearing delivers smooth, quiet steering action. Anti-backlash keeps the wheel and pedals tight to maximise control and reduce unwanted noise and vibration for ultra responsive game play.
Race like never before with the G29's 900-degree lock-to-lock rotation, which lets you turn the wheel two and a half times.

great piece of kit and worth every penny, but watch people vote cold because they can just jump in their time machines to a year ago when it was cheaper

If you don't have the room.... How is this on your lap. ..... Serious question. My setup is in the living room with a coffee table in between the sofa and tv.

it will not be comfy, especially when the force feedback kicks in.Either put it on your coffee table or buy a small possibly folding table to put it on

I wouldnt recommend it you wouldnt be able to handle the force feedback on your lap, you will be fighting the wheel all the time. Ive currently got a G29 on a playseat challenge which folds away behind my tv as Ive not much room either

Thanks to you both. Didn't realise it was that powerful. Will look at a sturdy mini folding table. Think the Mrs will kill me, if I move the coffee table and replace it with the full racing seat set up

I used to have this and I would recommend it for the price and how small it folds away pretty sturdy aswel
In Windows you can adjust how strong the force feedback is from the default "popeye guns required" to fully off (handy for when kids are using it / unmounted use)

Same setup for me, except I have G920 for Xbox. It works perfectly. Playseat Challenge is a little tight, and somewhat cumbersome to get in and out of if you are a decently sized man, but it works! Would I rather have a more "regular" racing rig? - Of course, but would I have it standing around taking up space in my appartment never. The wheel is great, but please do get a chair like the Playseat Challenge or a stand to get any enjoyment out of this.

Are most PS3/4 driving games compatible with the G29?
I know I could search online, but I thought you guys might have experience of using the G29 with various games. I thought I'd read somewhere that some games will and others won't work. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Westy! Looks like a DriveClub update brought support for the G29 too, if that helps anyone.
To pay back my HUKD debt, Quidco seems to be offering an additional "opt-in" £2.50 bonus cashback which works with any £10+ purchase from Currys (and a dozen or so other retailers). So check your Quidco homepage and you might be able to get another few quid off.
Merry weekend, everyone!

Great bit of kit bought this 3 weeks ago for pc (make sure its in ps4 mode) although I find i don't use the shifter just the paddles for changing gear. You can adjust the force feedback as it is very strong (be careful with young kids using it)! Will lock on to a desk maximum 3.2cm thickness for the wheel and a mximum of 5.4cm for the shifter. Ready made profiles can be selected in the logitech software support.logitech.com/en_…lgs Very easy to set up but does have 4 cables coming out of the wheel so can get a bit messy!

Belt Vs geared?
joepot to Stealth_Fox
25 Aug 17#25
I've had no experience with either so I'm not sure. I just got dirt rally on psvr so that's what made me decide I want a wheel. I've read bad things about the t300 and dirt rally tho
Stealth_Fox to joepot
25 Aug 17#29
G29 is geared and some say a bit notchy compared to a belt driven wheel bit belt driven tend to get hotter, need fans and are noisier as a result.

Thanks for the info I'll take it on board. I'm not a full on racing sim guy so to save £100 I probably won't notice the notches

The hardware is great but the support is terrible on PS4. Drive Club, F1 2006, project cars, Assetto corsa and dirt are about it. Need for speed doesn't support it, flat out doesn't support it either

can you use the CronusMax Plus Mod Adapter to make the ps4 wheel work on xb1p

25 Aug 17#26
Works great on my ps4 and ps3 but the Windows 10 drivers are buggy and if its set to PS4 mode sometimes windows will decide its not connected (Little switch on top lets you select ps3 or ps4), forcing you to go into device manager and manually update the driver. (Its not hard to do, but a pain keep having to do it and Logitech have known about the bug for ages but done nothing to fix it.....)

Have you ever tried it? Wouldn't it add to the immersive experience of racing? I would have thought that would be the most satisfying aspect in a simulator, depressing the clutch and changing gears or dropping gears on a bend. Never tried the steering wheel nor the gear stick so don't know how different it'll be to what I expect

I can't get to a store so went for the G920 bundle without the stick, which I think is still a bargain for £159. I'm mainly looking forward to using this for Forza 7 on my Scorpio, so need to make the decision between a Wheelstand Pro (plus a fold up chair) and a Playseat Challenge.
