I live in the sticks and had thought about buying several 30GB data contracts with the likes of EE or Three or Vodafone. EE used to do 100GB for £75 but discontinued their router package. No one else got near it with 40GB on Three being the best deal.
As of Friday past Three have released a new contract offer on HomeFi. A 4G Huawei Router with 100 GB of data for £30 pm. Usually £45 but currently discounted as it is a new offer. I know there will be folk out there using the all you can eat data on three with a VPN to disguise their internet use but for those that don't want the hassle, here is your solution. Getting about 15Mbs where I would usually be lucky to hit 2Mbs on ADSL.
Delighted is an understatement.
The kit/sim can be used abroad for upto 12GB. You also get the binge features too!
Only available instore and in selected stores.

And then your vpn costs on top? You cannot tether beyond 30GB with three unless you use a VPN to disguise your traffic from your home LAN. Unless of course you are talking about unlimited data on your mobile only - which this is not - it is instead of home ADSL or Fibre. Most Satellite or comparable products in the UK offer 50GB or less pm with high latency. 100GB pm for £30 is a steal and includes a £120 LTE router. It is also only a 12 month commitment which is unusual for a mobile operator contract these days.

This seems a viable option. Baring in mind the cheapest BT fibre is £25 a month and only gives you 25gb, I can get 80mbps down / 20mpbs up with 3, so faster than fibre too I reckon 100gb should be enough. That's 3gb a day, I don't stream a lot of tv.

No idea why this is cold, this is a great deal.
Even on a big discount EE is 30GB for £15 a month minimum.
Bear in mind the 4G router is worth a bit too.

ee 30GB for £15 everyone rating really hot, this is 100GB for £30 and its cold, where I am in Shropshire, I get roughly similar speeds on ee & 3 and I may as well be on a dial up system for my phone/internet, so this is really HOT (and I got on the ee £15 deal last year)

It doesn't. But I knew someone out there would claim they had unlimited data with three but tethering is limited to 30gb unless you disguise the traffic with a vpn. The guy above appears to have an old one plan which used to offer unlimited tethering but it was discontinued years ago and is not available.

I got this on the 40GB £24/month 30 day contract in-store last Sunday. Its great, thought also worth bearing in mind "all you can binge" is included so you can stream Netflix without using your allowance. Speeds are great!

Have one, fine for home, not old mans as BB speed too slow, 4G voice is even more appalling on a iPhone, the EE data is put as priority over calls & you can't lock a iPhone 6S to 2G which actually has good voice quality, BT really are making a mess of EE.

I actually find the VoLTE fine when it's available (which is rarely) but it really is HD voice. Night and day codecs being used.

Typical eh! Unfortunately EE seems to have massive call quality issues here in my area, most callers complain I'm breaking up so it must be a upload capacity issue as I can hear them, I'm using my Three contract now, not one call quality issue from a network with a EE shared backhaul/base stations ?? Again...TYPICAL EH!!

Yes it's 3 Ireland priceplans, the 40GB/£24 deal was the same instore only. They have to judge the strain on network with high data priceplans, esp when it's full browsers not phone browsers, The One Plan must have cost Three a fortune.

Greetings from hot n sweaty Barcelona. I've been living overseas for 3 years. I fly back to the UK next Thurs. Have just checked and I can only get awful internet in the rural sticks where I'll be moving. This deal looks enough till they get round to laying some cable round my end. I guess my nearest towns will be Middlewich/Sandbach/Crewe. I don't suppose anyone has checked any of the stores anywhere near that bit of Blighty? Ta

I've just purchased this device & plan, & got it for £28 as I'm an existing customer. :nerd: One thing to add... I got the impression that this is available in all stores (reading the blurb on the guys screen, over his shoulder), however they will run a postcode check, & only sell this to you if your address checks out for network coverage / capacity etc.

Just moved to the sticks and was aghast to find out I could only get about 3mb/s broadband via copperline. Rang 3 who gave me the 100gb a month deal on a rolling contract, but had to pay £60 up front for this.
The speeds are insane. Getting 75 down and 35 up !!!! :fearful: :fearful:
Hopefully three will increase the data cap to reflect fact is home usage. 500gb/month would make it practically unlimited.
This will do until fttp gets put in around here (by the end of 2018 according to the company).
