Okay, this won't be for everyone but I bought one of these at about £8 I think and it's really good quality. Bargain at £2.99.

Get a thick dpm damp proof membrane and just silicon around the edges in the inside

You can pick up pond liner online quite cheaply. I think there's even a company that sells offcuts from large projects that are suitable for small ones.

I guess I wouldn't expect it to be very long for 3 quid, unless is was specifically advertised as a "Large Burntwood Trough". I would say that as troughs go, at 1 ft 8 inches it is not large.

If you're relying on accurate descriptions in bargain/discount stores you must be serially disappointed :grin:
If you need something 6' long best look for a horse trough :thumbsup: Might cost a bit more than 3 quid, though.
