I used them before and they were fine. They used to offer insurance against being stung for customs duties, not sure if they still do. They also used to have Quidco or TCB available.

Not sure if I'm reading the description correctly, but it looks like it doesn't have the M.2 expansion slot...

can anyone tell me if this would be silent? like the M3 chips etc.

Will this product qualify for customs duty and is so, how much do they charge?

Seems like incredibly good specs for the price... is there a catch?
Full HD, lightweight, 6GB ram, good storage and good processor for under £200

Yeah what's the catch? I need a laptop. This seems ideal...

I wouldn't say the processor was 'good'. Passable would be a better word. It has roughly 1/2 the performance of a current intel m3 overall. If your application isn't well threaded; that drops down to 1/4.
That CPU with eMMC storage - Specs wise this is very comparable to a relatively decent smart phone but remember this is running full fat windows 10 instead of a lightweight iOS or Android so that will drag it down a fair amount. Don't expect to be doing anything complex with this.
In counter to that though - this will likely be silent in operation and it does support hardware decoding of H.264 and H.265 so - with the 1080p screen (and HDMI output) - it could be great for watching video on the go or plugging in to your TV to watch on there.

The information in the original post is all wrong.
This is not the same laptop that I posted in a separate deal.
This Lightinthebox version is the older version that does NOT have the M.2 expansion slot. That's a complete deal breaker as there's no way of expanding the eMMC storage or installing an SSD.
This version doesn't have wireless AC either which offers much faster wireless speeds and range.
It also comes with Windows 10 Chinese only version. Installing Windows 10 English is not straightforward and is not a case of simply changing the region or adding a language pack.
I saw this deal before I posted my one in the other thread but specifically chose not to post this Lightinthebox deal as the machine is noticeably inferior for the sake of saving £20.
From Lightinthebox's own description:
"Note: this original golden laptop Ezbook3 pro do not have M. 2 expansion port. All the golden laptops(Ezbook3pro) manufactured by the factory do not have m.2 interface."
Lightinthebox also has a very poor reputation when things going wrong, dealing with with problems etc. They're one retailer that I would not want to be spending money with. For example:
COLD - I wouldn't touch this deal with a 100ft bargepole.

You're welcome. There are different revisions of this laptop which is what makes it confusing.
The one to get is the one in the link below as it comes with the M.2 slot for expansion, Intel wireless AC, Windows 10 English and a retailer that isn't Light In The Box!
This deal is fine I have the same laptop except it's silver and I got mine from Geekbuying. Great for Kodi and surfing and for the price to spec ratio it's a bargain.

I have the same version as previously stated and I know which version I have. Granted they got the description wrong and yes as you stated there are better versions in the revised editions but I have the silver version of this model or series one without the M.2 slot.

But buying this Lightinthebox version just to save £20 when you end up with Chinese Windows 10, no M.2 SSD expandability, no wireless AC and having to go through seriously roper seller, is just plain daft.

EZbook 3 Pro- version 1- no M.2 Slot, single band 'n' wifi; Ver2 - M.2 slot, single band 'n'; Ver3 - 'ac' dual wifi, M.2 slot.
Other metal bodied laptops with N3450 and screen between 12.5" and 14": Onda - Xiaoma 21 and 31 type c usb, only 4gb ram Chuwi - 12.3 - 6gb 3:2 high def screen T-Bao - Tbook4, 6gb 'n' wifi, there is also the Air(128GB ssd INSTEAD OF 64GB eMMC) and Air3 Cube - iwork 5X 4gb ram, touchscreen, type c usb Jumper ezbook 3 Plus Civiltop Air - type c usb, no other ports(same as t-bao air) Bben 14.1 - wireless n, type C usb

It's interesting how so many of those laptops on that list have many 'pros' but also potentially deal breaking 'cons'.
The Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 is probably the only other one I would consider buying. The others just seem to have odd quirks that stop them from being towards the top of the list. The Xiaoma for example has no 3.5mm jack, no USB-A ports and the sound doesn't work when you're charging it!

Your perhaps thinking of the Tbook Air/Civiltop Air, only has one type C, but does come with a hub. The Xiaoma 21 & 31 both have 2 normal usb's as well as type C. The speakers cutting out when you plug some thing in to the type C port is exactly the same as when you plug in 3.5mm headphones, the speakers cut out, I believe there is tick box that just needs changing. You can use a type c headphone adapter for 99p. One advantage of the ezbook 3 pro is 6gb ram for a lower price than the others, although the others aren't that much more. I think one with 13" screen, 128gb SSD(prefer 256gb), ac wifi, type c and 6gb would be ideal, strangely it doesn't exist.

The review says the Xiaoma Onda 21 (is that the same at the Xiaoma 21?) has USB-C and the sound disappears when you plug anything in(!) That would be seriously annoying when you want to watch a video or listen to some music when charging. 4GB RAM is also a bit disappointing as well compared to the 6GB machines.
If one of these Chinese laptop manufacturers could sort out the quirks and create a fully working balanced laptop at around the £200 mark, they'd have a killer product on their hands!
I like Lapbook 12.3 but the short(er) battery life, locked down BIOS and slightly higher price puts me off from pulling the trigger.
The Jumper EZBook 3 Plus is probably the best one but at over £400, the price is just silly. Looks like Chuwi are going to be doing a similar 14" model as well: techtablets.com/201…rd/
Grrr!!! I want a cheapo thin/light Windows laptop to replace my Chromebook...
