Received mine (fridgemaster) a week ago. Good size. Very quiet compared to noisy Beko equivalent that popped, hissed and gurgled a lot as it went through its automated cycles. Very happy with it & a great price.

Don't touch Samsung domestic appliances they are good at TV's and Mobile Phones, but rubbish at domestic appliances. I had a Samsung American and after 2 years the electronics went wrong and too costly to repair as I had been on the forums and many people were saying that theirs had had the same or similar problems. It was all to do with the frost-free system and causing ice build up, and was still happening after years of reports of this problem.

Dispensers take up to much interior space, ice trays and small bottles of water are much better, for the not so lazy.

For a similar price I got the version that is 112 litres larger. This seems like a downsized version of the average size american fridge freezer so do check it's big enough. Seems like they have cut the size down to keep the price the same. webcache.googleusercontent.com/sea…=uk

AO.com select the reviews they want publish and give away free goods to the "video reviewers" that they place at the top, which coincidentally are always very satisfied customers (I guess I would be too receiving a mediocre appliance for nothing delivered by persons that AO has instructed to be extra nice). Surprised the ASA hasn't done something about this.
chrisredmayne to ahotukdeal
15 Aug 17#40
it's got 121 reviews with an average of 4.9 out of 5. Surely they didn't give away 121 fridge freezers ?
ahotukdeal to chrisredmayne
16 Aug 17#46
You'll struggle to find poor reviews for most items on their site because they filter out bad reviews out after giving away the flagged giveaway appliance positive review

Reckon that might be against trading standards.. . What evidence do you have for this? Have you write a bad review and they declined to publish it?

Thanks op, ordered the fridgemaster with the £50 code came in at £349 delivered. Topcashback tracked immediately for an extra £10 (2.04%). Great price. For anyone wondering, Haier and fridgemaster brands are made by the same Chinese companies who've been manufacturing refrigeration and air con products since the 70's/80's. Quality was poor but now seems to be as good as many other fridge manufacturers. Like many Chinese state-owned businesses, they have been taken over and merged a number of times for efficiency along with state subsidies to make them more efficient & export-friendly. You'll maybe struggle with model-specific spare parts after 10 yrs+, Purchase with this in mind and you've got a good product at a great price.

I've got this Fridgemaster model - had it for about 12 months. Paid slightly more - about £380 if I remember rightly. Worth every penny. Looks smart and is absolutely cavernous. AOs customer service is pretty good too in my experience. Heat added.

Yes. They said that they would take the doors off if necessary, but it wasn't. Steps are an issue if you have more than 5, as it's an absolute beast, so you need to make them aware of this.
Just being civil and offering a brew goes a long way with the delivery people. I didn't think I was doing anything out of the ordinary, but they said they get treated like rubbish by most folk.
Customer service from AO was great too.

"Frost free freezer - never manually defrost again" - Never gonna happen, all frost free freezers should be defrosted every 4-5 years due to water vapour build up. Shocked how many good fridge freezers get scrapped due to this issue and companies still advertise it as frost free due to it being out of warranty by that point. ukwhitegoods.co.uk/hel…ers
Just a heads up for anyone swapping out their perfectly fine fridge freezer because it's clogged up with ice :smiley_cat:

Must disagree had one for nearly 5 years never defrosted just slight mist which is normal and temp of -16C,are last upright F/F a frost free one needed defrosting once a year. Bought from Appliancesdirect and it took them an hour to get through front door, had no cash to tip but 2 cans coke was given, how generous is that.

14 Aug 17#22
I think you're confused with what I mean. The ice build up is inside the fan/vent system which you can't acess without a screw driver.
I think your original f/f probably had a bad door seal that caused the problem.
