Is it just me that really doesn't "get" Minecraft?

I finally bought it on the Switch, after about 2 hours I completely lost interest. Don't understand all the fuss!

To be honest the switch version along with this pocket edition are the worst editions of the game.
Also, its best with friends.

They're getting rid of the pocket edition and having a unified version across Windows 10, XBone, Android, iOS. It will become the main version of the game. Anyone who already has a copy of this pocket edition currently on sale or on will automatically get the new version.

No, I own it on the Wii U, PS3, mobile, PS4 and PC. My son loves it but no matter how hard I try, I can't get into it.

I've got it on Vita, Xbox one and Amazon Fire, Its all about the building mode, i made me a lovely house (which he flooded) but i feel dejected and stick to lego because he made 4 houses an garages full of cars and caravans in the time it took me to do one farm house and a sheep pen (he released all the sheep).

Not just you, and I loved Lego as a kid. Still bought it anyway as my son plays it loads on the Xbox.

Oh man.. what is realms and why do i need to pay £6.65 every month after I've paid £0.99 for the app? :disappointed:

There's loads to do in the main game - Realms are effectively rented servers where you can collaborate with others.
Annoyed heat for the deal - bought at £2.99 and haven't even played yet :disappointed:

Think that was about it's original price, it's what I paid ages ago.

I only play on creation mode on pc. Like a lego world with infinite pieces. Never cared about the normal mode though. Making all the parts and stuff just doesn't interest me. In creation I've built castles and all sorts.

Playing survival with others is worth doing - it's nice to cooperate to get trophies /achievements together and you'll learn your way around a lot quicker. I'm not sure how easy multiplayer (without realms) is on Pocket Edition though.
I Platinum'd on PS4 a few years ago but I still go back for a spot of creative from time to time  Some of the community builds on PC are jaw-dropping!

I'd always intended getting the IOS version, but have held back since they jacked the price from £4.99 to £6.99 a few months ago!

Great price, I nearly bought it at £2.99 recently, but was a few piece short on my account. Lucky me!
Android is getting the better together update with cross platform play, same as the Switch.
I've got the Switch version and it's great, it's certainly not a bad version at all, the Switch itself makes it the best for me - being able to take it wherever, picking it up and carrying on instantly from sleep....
Which reminds me, I really should eBay my PS4 version!
