I have watched lots of you tube videos on all types of phones,
I found that even though this is almost a year old it is better than the newer 5,
This one has a 4100mah battery and a really good screen time, some were getting 14 hours on screen time per charge,
The newer versions have a 3100 mah battery and a 10 core processor so you may only get 3 or 4 hours screen time, as 10 core is fast but not a very efficient use of power,
Be aware though there are lots of different models all with slightly different specs, this model was reviewed and it had the best camera,
I think they were released in that order, none of them have gorilla glass, so you will need to fit a tempered glass screen,
I am buying a note 4x from ebay and it comes with a gel case and glass screen protector for free, i have used ebay for years as i am nervous of using other sites, but they don't have THIS version with the long battery life 8 core processor, as most of the models have options for the 8 and 10 core processors as well,
If you are confused watch you tube videos before you buy, as all the models are reviewed multiple times.

Does this model have an electronic compass?
(It's not listed in the Sensors section..)
Also, can this take an SD card at the same time as 2 SIMs, or is it a choice between dual SIM or 1 SIM and an SD card? I've read the entire description but it's not clear.

1st question Yes and 2nd no I have this phone and it's brilliant for the money it costs.
It cant have 2 sims plus sd card. One or another. I have bought one of them and touchscreen stopped working next day. Sending it back is a nightmare because their customer service replies approx. every 12h. And no redunds for delivery.

Nillkin's cases are always a good bet, bear in mind the curved edges of the screen wont let you fit the tempered glass well so you may prefer a wallet type case

Hi thanks OP been keeping an eye on this and ordered. Any users have links for a decent cover and temper glass combo? Am a bit cautious as sometimes the case peels up the temper glass. Would rather sacrifice a little bit of the tempered glass coverage for the case rather than just a full on tempered glass covering the whole front. If that made sense lol

This seems like the American Exynos version, as the UK one is Snapdragon and also has LTE. On the link it shows no bands for LTE on the note 4 and I'm curr9usijg it with EE (Previously) and BT now and the speeds are definitely LTE. If there's one thing Xiaomi can do, it's sort out the naming of their phone ad they don't make life easy at all!
Think I'll be sticking with my note 4 and ordering a note 8 once the price comes down a bit. Th pen is essential for me, so will only get a note.

I bought a Power 2 from GB several weeks ago. When it leaves their factory the have no control over delivery but the parcel is tracked (although this sucks) and needs to be signed for. After a small initial delay on GB's fault, the phone arrived just after 2 weeks, this is the fastest a phone has arrived for me.
Get it sent via regular (slow mail) and you shouldn't have any problems. When sent via this method, the phone first arrives in the EU in Netherlands or similar before being sent on to the UK. This avoids the dreaded customs afaik. I've over 10 orders from GB and never been hit. There is a small chance but reading many posts from HUKD, the only people that get hit by charges are those that get sent by fast shipping methods. ie, the phone gets sent directly to the UK from China.
While I'm over the Moon about my Power 2 - it works perfectly and the battery is 2 days with medium use, I'm keeping an eye on this phone as I'm thinking about it for my wife for XMas.

Got it a few weeks ago from Xiaomi Online Store. They had a sale on for a few days, plus, with the exchange rate and TCB of 6%, it came to £130. TCB tracked very quickly afterwards. Used a Credit Card that doesn't charge an Exchange Rate Fee. Cracking phone - very, very happy with it. And, yes, it's Band 20.
Cheapest on AliExpress at the moment is from these guys:
Well worth paying the few extra quid for 4/64Gb and Band 20, imho.

I just bought the Redmi Note 4x on ebay 3GB Ram & 16GB storage,
It comes with a glass screen protector and a gel case,
This one supports LTE, but for better signal strength it has plastic at the top and bottom,
The Redmi Note 4 is different from the 4x, the 4 has metal top and bottom instead of plastic,
The 4 has a better camera than the 4x,
4G LTE is not available on the 4,
It wasn't mentioned if the 4 has backlit menu keys, but the 4x does,
You can also customise the notification led on the 4x,
Be aware it has been mentioned that some buyers are noticing on newer phones they are cutting back on the functions and hardware to get a lower price point,
So that is up in the air as to whether you will actually get the specs promised,
I chose the 625 octo core one for better battery life,
It was £111 for the grey one, the seller promises no import duty as they put gift and $20 dollar value on the parcel,
Ebay has 5 x nectar points this weekend as well,
Mine is the global ROM version.

That is not applicable to this deal thread. The Snapdragon variant was released as both Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 4X depending on the region. The Redmi Note 4 Global Version is Snapdragon and has the exact same housing as the Snapdragon Redmi Note 4X (plastic top & bottom). Only the original China Redmi Note 4 Mediatek is full metal body. The Redmi Note 4 Global Version is basically the Snapdragon Redmi Note 4X except with added B20 support. The one you bought is China Version since 3/16GB is exclusive to China. Having Global ROM means that the seller will have unboxed it and flashed the ROM themselves. However, Redmi Note 4 Global Version will be sealed with Global ROM pre-installed.
All the 5.5" Redmi Note 4/4X variants have backlit keys whereas the 5" Redmi 4/4X do not. Both ranges have customisation of notification LED.

I have had this phone for 2 or 3 months now and as I said on other postings it's great.......except.........since the update to rom miui 8 v8.5.4.0 the gps does not work properly. It struggles to find a fix on satellites and when it does work (about 50% of the time) it takes minutes to do so. Not much use with Google maps or fitness tracker apps. Now this might be fixed with the next update to miui 9 (although people on the beta version are reporting the same problem). I know lots of people on here will say 'mine works fine' but this is a well reported problem that you can see many instances of if you search in the xiaomi/miui forums. Just a word of caution as other than this (serious) issue the phone is brilliant. My advice if you do buy is to not update to 8.5.4.0 for now.
