Same happened to me. Mine was caused by Comodo internet security, others had this due to Avira, Avast, and others. PM me if you had comodo, there is a work around.

To anyone considering this, I will highly recommend this price. I purchased the standard edition at launch. Since I ended up really enjoying the game I ended up wanting VIP (for double wheel spin cash payouts) and the car pass. Sadly the expansion pass isn't part of the ultimate edition so I've been slowing buying the extra add-ons when they go on sale. Only DLC I've left to buy is the car pass.
Downside of this Ultimate Edition - Expansion pass not included (Hot Wheels & Blizzard Mountain), having Car Pass only allows access to 6 of the current 9 Car packs (All stars car pack included with UE).
So for 39.99 I recommend this purchase to any racing fan that has not already got the game. Maybe even buy some credit from CDKeys to bring the overall price down

All you get that's of any real value is double credits from spins, which makes progress a lot quicker. The game already has a ridiculous amount of cars and you'll never get around to driving most of them. I got this at launch and have to say I was pretty damn disappointed at having to spend more money on the expansion pass. I'd recommend just buying the regular edition and expansion pass instead.

I wasn't saying that it's cheaper anywhere else, just that this is a bit of a rubbish "ultimate" edition...

Agreed, it barely qualified for the title on release let alone now. I have it but I snagged it in an Amazon price glitch for £30. Which at least at the time was the cheapest even the standard edition had ever been. But I agree unless someone really wants some of the cars from the car packs included, if they have gold they should save the £10 and get the standard version. The 2 expansions show up discounted on Amazon from time to time.
@Cro_Baron I also use kaspersky and it had no effect on either the demo or full game for me so it might be something else interfering with it on your system.

the main difference with all the digital versions is that they are xbox play anywhere, meaning you can install on a PC also and play,
The Digital deluxe version includes VIP and Motorsport All-Stars packs, which collectively add fifteen new cars and a few additional pieces of exclusive content
The "ultimate" edition includes the Motorsport-All-stars pack, + "car pass" and VIP stuff (including some exclusive cars) which isnt really necesary.. but i think some of the newer car packs arent inlcuded and are extra... (The Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass gives players access to a monthly release
of cars, over a six-month period. Each monthly drop will introduce seven
new cars, totalling a collection of 42 exclusive vehicles by the end of
March 2017.) but this has happened before with Forza season passes, eg Forza Motorsport 4 the season pass didnt include the porche pack...
I'd alreadyhad the disc & bought the DLC expansions (Blizzard Mountain & Hot Wheels) and these arent inlcuded so dont really need extra wheelspins or cars, but i'm sure they are enjoyable.
hope this helps people with their decisions on the game
