My gut tells me its valid but like I said its best to wait 2 weeks before you book anything. If the price you paid was say for example £200pp return to NYC its more likely to be accepted than if it was £59pp. Airline also takes into account bad publicity like the Alitalia fiasco a few years back . I paid £38pp (yes that is not a typo) for return tickets to NYC. They cancelled everyones ticket. Then the huge media fiasco began and they succumbed and honoured them like 2 weeks later.

No with Finnair. I was actually on holiday in Florida in March and saw it and booked it straight away. Of course I have to fill in the gaps myself so going from Hong Kong to Vietnam and then from there to Japan. Keep an eye on fly4free or secretflying or hacktheflight.
Last year paid £221 for Rome to Johannesburg. Cape Town to Dubai. Dubai to Rome. It allows me to visit more countries for a small places but not many people would like that.

To be honest, I've booked the return to LA for £200 and it's not THAT much of a glitch as I flew Air New Zealand this year to LA for £260 but that was a Black Friday deal.
I've still yet to hear anything to say my ticket has been cancelled but I don't see how they can justify cancelling it as they've taken payment, sent me an e-ticket and all my details are true and correct, unlike other price glitches where people have said they live elsewhere, and therefore the airline were able to use that that to cancel the ticket.
Anyway, as I said, fingers crossed!

Obviously posting here spreads it further, but there's a couple of websites dedicated to finding error fares. This was posted to Holiday Pirates after those said sites found the error and then someone posted it here. Those sites get plenty of visitors and so even without being on here it is still gonna be a big risk.
But yeah, I wouldn't post other glitches.
Even if you have your eticket as people are finding out it can be cancelled, but typically you are within a good shout of getting it if you have it.
Popular routes like this are rare, but it has happened!
The problem people typically face is that so many online travel agencies do not have automated systems. They require manual booking and so when it comes time for someone to process your ticket request through the price has changed and they can't book your ticket.
Unlike other price errors it is better to phone the company and they'll book it there and then. And it isn't like you're tipping them off to any price error that they will then adjust because they're not in control of the price, the airline is via a central system all these companies use.
napolimp
28 Aug 17#58
100% correct. There's absolutley no point in posting these error fares to the masses, like Holiday Pirates, and this person has done on HUKD. If a few people book it then there's a good chance it won't be spotted, but as soon as a mass of people start booking they're obviously going to catch on and cancel the bookings.
The poster is not doing anyone a favour here.

28 Aug 17#57
I never understand why people or websites post these deals. Most likely to not be found out if a handful of people take advantage of the glitch however the glitch gets publicised and 1000s of people visit there site/ book on and inevitably all get cancelled.
jinkssick
28 Aug 17#56
Error fares are a lottery. I have managed to get a hand on a few and lost some. One of the one's that work is this October £150pp from Brussels to Hong Kong and then Japan back to Brussels (aka open jaw).
Got an email saying my payment was not cleared, this obviously means that it was cancelled. Ah well, nothing to lose right..

did not find this mistake via here, but i booked it to NYC in April with <2hr connections - 470 return for 2 adults and 1 child with good flying times and the extra 10 pounds for a credit card charge (happy to pay this for the insurance / bonus amex points).
Going for 8 nights, no idea if i will stay in NYC for the entire period as flights to MIA and other places are so cheap with miles (less than 9 pounds return).

Yeah theses were some of the ones I saw.
I once took a flight via Atlanta that had a 45 minute connection time and I literally sprinted to my next flight, including up a very lengthy escalator and they were boarding as I joined the back of the queue.
Probably the most exciting part of the trip and an instant way to get jelly legs.

I'm in the same boat but only have 1hr 30min transfer for one of mine. Looking at the Air Canada site they'll rebook you on a later onward flight if you miss It, provided you've allowed for the minimum they recommend....at Toronto it's 1hr 10mins.

I once missed Turkish airline connection mainly due to 20 mins delay and 1hour time change british summer time etc. Turkish airline accommodated me free of charge on next flight. I hope in an unfortunate event it shall be considered by many airlines

Was looking at these earlier, some of the connection times are very short, and some fall well short of Air Canada's published minimum connection time so be careful with those.
