Sorry, should have made clearer that my comment was directed at the poster above me who said they were "holding out for the Switch version." - what I meant was there was no need to hold out - it's available right now!

Ah, of course - no problem. Possibly they were referring to a price drop for the Switch version, rather than its release, but I'm just guessing.

I got this last time it was on sale, hoping it would be like F-Zero GX. I was sadly disappointed. No where near as good, and the shield changing colour crap is annoying as hell.

It's more like a poor man's F Zero, than Wipeout.
Not the best, but decent enough, and all that's available if you want an F Zero type game on Wii U or Switch.
