2,690. It's the EU way. If you notice the Policy 50/100.000 € also has a dot rather than a comma.

Did you find an alternative in the end? I've just had another one go. Seems like Masterplug is the only company that offers a reasonable connected equipment warranty. Feel like I am always replacing these :disappointed:

No. I'm in the exact same position as yourself with my thoughts on Masterplug. I haven't ordered yet, but this design is my preference because the double banked ones nearly always lead to inability to use all sockets, although yet again reviews are bewildering

I have that surge protector in 6 day and 4 way. The 4 way is the one that has the surge light has just gone out on. It has several PlayStations connected to it, they are all still working fine.
My TV died while connected to the 6 way version, the surge light had gone out. But I couldn't be sure when. I've started paying a lot more attention to the lights on them because of that.
Fortunately it was insured, the repair people weren't 100% sure what causes it's death, just told me the panel was dead.
Which has been functioning without problems for the last year. But when I went looking for the receipt for the other, I see it says it to register for the connected equipment warranty on the packaging :rage: which I never noticed before. I'm not sure if it really is necessary, or if I can now. Highly annoying.
I tried a £30 Belkin one last year, but sent it back. The warranty was pitiful and like you say, half the sockets I couldn't use because of the shape of the plugs. But IIRC they can withstand more joules of energy.
I am wondering if anyone ever manages to get a masterplug one to last for 3 years, which kind of defeats the point of such a long warranty.
I've also got a single socket masterplug protector for my laptop. It has a power light on it and a surge light. The surge light works, but the power LED failed. When I contacted masterplug to ask if it was still safe to use, they told me it was fine, LEDs just die quite often. Which makes me wonder about the accuracy of the indicator LEDs.
Those are my (probably not very helpful) thoughts at the moment :grin:
I wonder how long the connected equipment warranty lasts for? I think that's where Belkin fell down, the warranty is huge in terms of pounds, but only lasted 12 months. I think, it was a year ago I last checked.
Do they really mean 2.690 Joule, or 2690 joules? If the latter, those look like they are designed to absorb a massive amount more energy. They could be better value for money, warranty permitting.
I suspect that mine don't get blown out in one big event, their protection gets chipped away in small spikes over time.

No good for most adapters/transformers - the sockets are to close together. Not bad deal though.

yeah i have that problem with a few things router-wise or HDD power adapters too.. shame they dont design them with that in-mind, its pretty rare they are all the small form factor 3 pin plug these days.,

I'm looking at this German sounding French company's Chinese tat. Some of their products are sold for commercial servers, but I'm sure those servers would have better surge protection products than what I would be happy to pay for.
