PLEASE dont get this printer, i have it and immediately hated it, its slow in every way and buggy. It flys through expensive ink which it will only accept epson (mine took 10 attempts to finally accept the epson cartridges that came with the printer!!). I went and bought the £50 hp one that came up on here a few days ago. Theres a cheaper hp one at argos atm too.

Epson printers are garbage, the scanners don't work if ink is low. Take forever to turn on, inks go crazy. I'd only buy this as a gift for people I want to irritate. If you are buying a printer for yourself stick to hp.

I bought the Epsom xp345 from Currys/pcworld Free delivery if happy to wait, though only took 2 days, and is £5 cheaper and I prefer the white. Very happy with it too.
I did try post a link but it was massive!

I am looking for a printer too. Is this a better option? (Though more expensive)
Don't bother. Epson printers only accept genuine Epson cartridges not the cheap compatible ones so you'll pay a fortune in ink (like I have for past 3 years). Best off with an HP as they take any

Utter RUBBISH! Read my post above. Too many give up when a printer says inkjet not recognised. Switch off. Restart. I have used printers and scanners since the 80s and the Epson Office BX305FW Plus is the best bit of inkjet kit I have ever owned. Now 6 years into its use. I really don't know what I'll do if it gave up the ghost, I'd just have to find another.

COLD! Epson is best make imo, but not this. In 2011 I bought this (can still find them if you search). epson.co.uk/pro…5fw I have had all printers under the sun, but this one is the TOPS! Still using it daily. Brilliant scanner too, Wifi, copy, colour the lot. The BEST bit? The cheapest inkjets out there, compatibles that work! I have had only a couple occasions where it says inkjet not recognised. Switch off, switch on. Hey presto away again! I have bought these compatibles for the last few years from the same place, and they are CHEAP but WORK! I have never looked back. I have used printers for years, most last at most 2-3 years then you give up after a few jams or inkjets not working. Believe me, this is GREAT! (I honestly wish I had bought 2 - it cost me 49 quid at the time from Viking Supplies reduced from 79 or thereabouts.) I still have one box of compatibles left, just replaced the Cyan today as it ran out. Away it goes! Prints like it did when new. I avoid updates, constantly pestered by Epson. I just fear they will put a link that prevents the compatibles being used. Oh yeah, the genuine Epson inkjets just the 4 colours usual prices around 39 quid. I buy these. It's laughable! 6 times as many for a third of the price!! LOL amazon.co.uk/Per…lus Why buy a dinky Epson from Argos when you can get this? Or even the later model for another 20 quid. Mind you that might not let you use the compatibles. Then again may. amazon.co.uk/Eps…5UA

Anyone can give me some advice on the cheap printer offers at the moment on HUKD please! I'm totally bewildered by it
I've just replaced this one with an Hp, it's been awful. Noisy, cheap build quality, compatible inks have ruined it very quickly.

I've got the 325 and it's been a pig from day one with WiFi printing. Might give one of these a try.

One thing you should check is whether you can run compatibles. Can find some on Web, but not very cheap, although genuine long life Epson are dearer than the printer. Not sure about this model.
The newer models sometimes will not work at all with compatible cartridges. Always keep the original set, even when empty, as these are sometimes the key for installing compatibles. Avoid printer software updates as well.

The 345 as above is a better model and cheaper and no payment for delivery, not sure why people would rather get this, took about 15 minutes to set up too
