For those lucky people who managed to grab the £5 deal back in June, this may interest you. For those who can't recall the deal, it's in the below link. hotukdeals.com/dea…785
Basically I took this £5 offer in June and redeemed the 6 months free Apple music too. I was getting unlimited mins and texts and 4GB 4G data for £4.98 per month with a £20 loyalty added each month (it should be £5 but only being charged £4.98)
Anyway, a few days ago I ported my number over from Three, and porting was completed a few days ago. I called EE and said I need more data and I was told I could have the following:
1. unlimited mins & texts and 30 GB data - normal price £41 per month, with my £20 loyalty, I would pay £21 per month. 2. unlimited mins & texts and 25 GB data - it's on special price of £26 per month until 29th August, with my £20 loyalty, I would pay £6 per month. (This plan is called "12m sim max 25GB) I said I will happily take the second offer for £6 per month, and I was told this would take effect on my next billing date.
Today is my billing date when my allowances refresh, and I have been moved on to the new plan. (not new 12 months contract, continues from June) Also they gave me 6 months free Apple music starting from today. I had already used 2 months from June, but they added extra 2 months for free, and now my Apple music expires in February.
In my EE app, it clearly states all the plan details and my £20 loyalty is showing under the fixed add-ons, the ones which can't be removed.
So in effect, I'm paying £1.02 more than the previous plan for an extra 21 GB of data.
Sorry for the long read, but I hope this will help some of you who took the deal back in June. Good luck, if you do decide to try for it.

Say to them you need 25GB data and ask with your £20 loyalty, how much will it cost. Say your friend just changed his plan to this for £6 per month. If they don't offer it for £6.00, keep trying until you get a customer advisor who will.

I really can't say but no harm in trying. If I were you, I would ask for PAC code now if you are in last 30 days of contract. Then you will be in a better position to get a better deal. This deal I posted is mainly for those who took the £5 offer back in June, as most if not all, got the £20 loyalty.

Well that makes sense of my situation.....I think.
I have two lines on my EE account and managed to get EE to match a Plusnet offer that was on at the time (something like £9.00 per month or similar).
Anyhow, when I checked my account there was a £10, £6 and £4 loyalty 'FIXED ADD-ONS', which I knew nothing about, but must be this 'Loyalty' that the OP mentioned.
So my bill should have been around £18.00 per month, but my bill for the last two months had been a combined -£21.98 (negative) for the two identical accounts with Unlimited Calls/SMS+4GB.
The figures didn't add up until now but I guess it breaks down to:
£18 (2 x £9.00) - £40.00 (2 x £20 'Loyalty) = -£22.02 (Negative)
Shame they weren't putting that back into my bank account each month! LOL
I don't fancy pushing my luck and losing what I have to get the extra data though TBH.

Glad I'm not the only one with loyalty discounts on my account. I was on SIM only deal for last 12 months. Original deal was £18 and I got it for £10. They screwed up my first two bills so they applied a credit to give back what they overcharged. Then my bills started coming in at £3/month so I said nothing for the remainder of the contract. I've just upgraded to a new 24month contract and checked my app and I've still got 1 x £1 and 1 x £6 loyalty discount on my account. This is in addition to the 20% corporate discount I got. My first bill is due in a few days so will see if they are still on, fingers crossed. I also paid £49.99 for the handset and that's showing as a credit on my account?? Maybe that will come off on my first bill. I'm not complaining.

For those of you lucky enough to have the £-20, you can ask the service team to switch your plan over to a new plan. Moving to a newer plan means you retain your loyalty discount. If you upgrade to a new plan, you'll loose the discount.
seaniboy to dgm
15 Aug 17#28
They don't -£26 they want to remove the discounts or 7GB for £8.99 or 30GB for £21 with £20 discount intact.

15 Aug 17#34
If you are within contract, the terms are that cannot switch to a plan which costs less than your current plan which is why they will only move up. If one agent says no, just hang up and call again. I've a good loyalty discount and have switched plans several times.

I've put someone on the case, moving priceplans should not invalidate a loyalty discount...staff don't want to apply changes without removal, moving a plan should not meant you fortify a contractual obligation of a discount, it is not a 'upgrade' it is a priceplan change.

dude, that's not how it works... it's normally a retention offer the system generates automatically. the offers the advisor can give is what's available on his screen. everyone has different offers, that's why some can get it, while others cant. what you say to the advisor doesn't really matter - he can only make available the offers that come up on his screen, based on your account.

Just called to go onto the 25Gb offer, my son uses the line and has killed the 4Gb within days of each month!
I have the £26 25Gb MAX plan on my line that is on the same account, I asked if the other line could be moved to the MAX plan. The advisor refused because it is reduced to £26 only for new lines, not plan changes. She said it would be £41 per month for this.

I spoke with Kirsty. When you call, say you need more data and you would like to move to a similar plan with more data. Don't mention upgrade. If you have the £5 offer with £20 loyalty then first ask for the 30 GB plan and how much it would cost with your £20 loyalty. They should say it will cost you £21. (Originally £41) Then ask for next plan with less data than 30GB. They should say it's 25GB. With your £20 loyalty this should cost you £6.(Originally £26) Good luck!

I got quizzed several times why my loyalty discount was so high, it's not the computer, staff are jealous - most then go speak to a supervisor about any plan change THEN they come back wanting to remove discounts to change plan. It is dodgy practice by EE staff, the £20 discounts are part of the 12 month agreement - changing to another 'current' same price plan of same or higher price should not mean staff try to get you to forgo the agreed discounts.

Call up and say you want to speak to supervisor. If they ask why, say you want to change plan and staff are wanting to remove discount. Also mention that when you took the contract you were told you can move to a higher price plan and your discount will stay intact. Let us know how you get on.

I got the June offer and I really have no idea what they have done to my account. My first payment was for £4.99 and the following month a £13 credit appeared from nowhere and also another £5 loyalty discount plus the original £20 loyalty discount. I have not paid a penny for the last two bills and still my account is showing a credit of £13 plus two loyalty discounts that have no expiry date on them that will cover each months line rental. I definitely will not be chancing calling them for this newer deal.

EE complaints staff have just told me it is them - that you can move to any EE 'currently offered' same price or higher plan but they HAVE to manually remove the discount & negotiate another when changing to another plan, it's not the computer.
Terrible practice of miselling a fixed 12 month contract with a discount that would 'stay' when changing to a higher plan by several EE staff - to then refuse such on request.
I would be lodging complaints with Ofcom if EE try to change the contracted discount ie the existing contract terms for moving to a higher price plan.

See my post above^
I was offered the 25GB but only if I paid £20 with £6 discount and agreed to my ongoing £20 discount removal. They then retracted even that offer. This was the complaints team.
I was told by telesales, 150 and store staff the £20 was indefinite on any same price or higher plan 'current' instore or on the website. I asked this repeatedly and was repeatedly reassured.

Just spoke with EE Irish call center , very nice guy named Rory. First he said for some reason I had two £20 loyalty's showing on my account, I said nothing, but he said he had to speak to his manager, when came back he said he would have to remove one of the loyalty add-ons otherwise I would be paying zero! Then I was only offered 7gb first but I asked is there anything larger, eventually we got to the 30gb , he said because of the billing cycle ,mine refreshes 15 of each month.that I would be wise to phone back a few days before next bill otherwise I would be paying something like £38 pm , so when I phone back say on 12th September I will only pay approximately £2 more pm with the loyalty discount! I'm very confused to say the least! But it's been noted against my account that when I phone back 12 Sept it shouldn't be questioned! One other thing was the free Apple music was showing two different end dates so he refreshed that so I've started again for another 6 months once I've text music then stream! Thanks again OP :raised_hand:

Call up again.

I've just came to the end of a 12 month contract (£20 per month 16GB data), I went on chat just to see what my bill would continue to run at and they advised that it would remain the same, however, noted that I'm eligible for an upgrade. The upgrade is £6 per month for the same package but with 20GB data and a 30 day rolling contract. I accepted this upgrade as it seemed decent.
Could I have got more data? They advised that their 30GB data plan would cost me £26.99

When I phoned yesterday EE rep rory said I could start 30gb straight away but couldn't apply £20 loyalty discount until 15TH September, so I would have to pay £38 because I had already started this month's bill cycle. So noted on my account that when I phone back a few days before 15th September that 30gb will be applied no questions asked, to only pay £2 extra after £20 loyalty discount. I don't know why rory could not just apply 30gb to my account to start automatically on 15th September? But hopefully I will have it once I have phoned ee back in September.

I spoke with josh from EE (Gordie accent, so probably Northeast call center). Asked him to read notes on my account regards call with Rory yesterday. Josh seemed quite taken back by Rorys notes, so much so Josh put me on hold for over five minutes!!!!! I thought we'd been cut off! Comes back I've been reviewing your notes and price plan with another colleague, we determined that Rory was in the wrong offering 30gb for additional £2 pm. Unfortunately you're loyalty discount only applies to your existing plan of £24.99 discounted to £4.99. if you wanted more data it would cancel your loyalty discount and you will have to pay full price for any changes!!! So if anyone gets Josh just hang up and try again! I will try again tomorrow but Josh did mention that he was going to remove Rory's notes so Josh probably added his notes instead!! I believe EE may have become wise to what's going on and have had it stopped! Hope I'm wrong!! I also thought Josh was going to deny me my new start date for Apple music as he said he would have to apply changes to get it working for me as it wouldn't accept my verification!

Update. So I'm not on this June deal as most people on this thread are. I spoke with someone in Newcastle too. Here's what I'm currently on. EE max 30gb for £20.99 ( price plan is 41.99 with 21 discount applied.) He offered me the 12gb max plan which is 32.99 and was happy to apply my 21 loyalty discount to the plan meaning I would get 12gb for 11.99 a month. Add my data boost of 5gb as I have my broadband with EE and that 17gb for 11.99 a month. He was happy to move my loyalty over as long as you don't mention "upgrade". I decided to stick to my 35gb all in plan for 20.99 as I average around 20gb a month usage. I did mention the deal most have on here but as helpful as he was he couldn't help with that. On his system was my existing 30gb for 41.99, 12gb for 32.99 (both max plans) or a regular 20gb for 37.99. I hope this helps someone. I'm out of contract and a price plan change won't tie me into another 12 months.

I got offered 30gb for £20.99 (originally £41.99 but minus £20 loyalty discount) which at the time I thought was a good deal. Anyway after seeing this thread, I thought I'd try my luck. Called 3 times over 3 days but they wouldn't do anything for me. Tried by luck with live chat today, and thanks to an awesome advisor, I now have 25GB for £6. This is simply amazing. Ive spoke to store staff and they confirmed another customer had to fight to get it done, that a plan change is 'current' plans instore or online and marketing really screwed up as discounts are contractual for term and leaving only 1 Max plan on 12m sim only was a balls up.

I'm live chatting now, third attempt.
No luck again. Basically you need to be in contract and have a price plan change. Not an upgrade, as I am out of contract I can only have upgrade where you can't keep loyalty discount.
Good on all the people who have got this deal, I'm jealous.
seaniboy
19 Aug 17#251
You can't upgrade a sim only deal.
And I'm in contract and want to move to the only available Max plan now offered by EE - £26/25GB, they make it up as they go along, even if you meet the plan change restrictions they won't do it. Store staff got quizzed by me this afternoon and they said I was correct in understanding my plan can be moved to any 'current' available plan that is more expensive than 4GB plan. I could go into further details also of EE breaches but I've got someone on the ball with it.
If you want to change price plan to a higher plan they cannot remove contractual discounts that induced the contract sale for a higher plan/cost change, that would be misselling.
All in EE are lying through their teeth, if the computer allows the change then it's because it matches the plan change terms they set up. Staff are jealous the discount is better than a staff contract and don't want to apply it, staff that are applying such are doing their job and sticking to the price plan change policy EE have. Jobsworths are just well jel. Most lie through their teeth the computer won't allow it - well this thread says otherwise!

19 Aug 17#252
Yeah and EE Keep telling me all you lot are lying!
But yes as you say if you're in contract you can change to a higher price plan and discount remains. As I'm not in contract it has to be an upgrade deal where no discount can be carried over. So I stick with my current deal at £5.84/m for 16GB.
seaniboy
19 Aug 17#253
PS) Im hearing staff want to remove discounts (no legal standing to do so) offer £6 discount = £20 for 25GB and restart 12 month terms - this again constitutes a breach of their own terms on price plan changes.
Staff are abusing thier own plan change policies as contracted left right & centre,
"Your contract length cannot change and the data allowance must match or be higher than your current"
seaniboy
19 Aug 17#254
You are in a contract, just not a minimum term, you can indeed change price plan without needing to recontract a minimum term. A upgrade would be a new term with new discounts. If staff don't understand that they are deliberately been trained widespread to missell customers. Being BT that's more than likely.
I'm on the £34.99 16GB but I have £30 loyalty discount. It was £4.99 but the RPI increase put it at £5.84 this year.

Ok typical of EE not to show it in MyEE, download a bill - it should state which plan - 4GEE/Essential/Max
While you are in that page again go to the bottom and click NO at 'was everything clear on this page?' And tell them your plan type does not show - only it's a sim contract not the 4GEE/Max/Essential type it is.

19 Aug 17#260
Ridiculous ! How can you work out a price plan change with thier terms I posted if you don't know! So you call & they con you no doubt.
Looks like the old Extra plan from Feb 2016 to August 2016 ee.co.uk/con…pdf
which throws another spanner in the works as there is no Extra migration policy to 4GEE/Essential/Max here community.ee.co.uk/t5/…397

19 Aug 17#261
Yeah that seems like the one I'm on. I definitely get the higher speed data as I've had over 200mbps on 4G+. So I think I'm just going to leave it, I get a decent deal at £6 for 16GB. I just wanted 25GB for the same money!
seaniboy
19 Aug 17#262
It's a good plan, I need Max plans for AUZealand and the Americas. The fact they have removed all them from 'current' plans but one 25GB plan and I satisfy every term to move to it is a joke. As I said I have someone on the case, many breaches of contract. And staff lying is infuriating way to treat a customer, marketing choose to offer one 'current' Max plan and discounts are part of the contract to intice the contract sale - so they scrEwEd up, you don't screw the customer over for employee errors.

my contract with 25gb starts 2morrow. on the same contract so the Max plan with 25gb instead of 4gb for £6 a month!!

Seriously log a complaint with Ofcom. This is not a dispute over excess charges or mistakes by EE. They are blatantly breaching their own price plan changes rules and T&C of contracts by even trying to remove discounts in the minimum agreed term of discount. The more people who Ofcom the better, the fact there is no full priceplan change rules in the T&C is abhorrently, absurdly a breach of the contract in itself.

Lies, they knew what mine said of my last contacts, under Data Protection Act you should be able to access the last few notes via the EE employee accessing such if you have proceeded through account security, to make you do a SAR is horrendously poor show.
I would submit a SAR from EE and when you receive it contact the Information Commissioners Office and lodge a complaint about the refusal to share the most recent dated notes on YOUR account and the expectation EE have to you to do such via SAR is unacceptable, costly and time consuming rather than being disclosed on a call to a EE customer service staff member post account security. It is not like staff have to go to another department and request such information from data back ups, it is live on customer services system for all staff to read, not sure how far it goes back but recent account notes are readily available to customer services call handlers in ALL call centres.
You would not expect your bank call centre to refuse to discuss recent activities on account with "nope use a branch", customer service is part of the servicing T&C of the contract, unless there is fraud or criminal activity suspected, EE have no right to enforce you use stores only (unless showing ID for security reasons to then allow you to access via 150/Live Chat again or process a non-store upgrade). You could be disabled and unable to gain access to a store, or its distance. They really do have their back up against the wall by their 'current' available priceplan marketing error and priceplan change policy - left & right hands don't know what each are doing - and EE are barking and biting customers for internal issues - appalling.
BTW on good authority EE are monitoring the thread as they were the original deal. Customer/s have pointed EE to HUKD as many HUKD tell them where? (Granted on deals like this that are actually allowed as part of contracted T&C, but when glitches appear and people point them to HUKD - why ? - no I haven't mentioned this thread to EE myself, only their T&C and plan change terms)
I for one found the info here on HUKD and had a invite to EE £5 deal, I came across it having a clear out after I ordered -over that weekend.
BignRed84
20 Aug 17#312
If EE are monitoring this page/deal
Then why did I like many others get a 2nd and in my case 3rd call offering me another £6 sim only deal
As in there words I had an excellent credit score and they could offer me another one
Despite the calls I turned them down as I was tied into other sim only deals
seaniboy
20 Aug 17#313
The current AM sub ends due to plan change, you may have to reactive Apple Music on your phone - it may glitch and not activate again and you would need to call 150 for them to clear previous activation - I had this happen last year when they did something to a account in error and they changed the error but didn't reset the automatic change of AM.
seaniboy
20 Aug 17#314
The offers apparently were made to customers who orders got stuck in the system - but staff were willing to give as many sims as the 'credit checked' computer allowed, the promotion was not well applied in EE system as it was meant to be PAYG to PM transfers only - I couldn't auto transfer my EE payg numbers to PM as the computer was not allowing it to happen with the £20 discount a month, telesales said we will issue new numbers to get round the system and then activate sims on arrival and move the payg numbers across. I didn't bother moving the numbers after all.
They offered me the same recently any sim I wanted, £20 - £6 off for 25GB or any mobile broadband sim, but not the change for £6.
All in marketing & whoever is doing customer service system coding (Oracle?) for EE have not a clue what EE promotions fully are because none of it is linking up as it should for a flawless experience for staff or customers.Being BT owned now that is hardly a surprise.
BTW on a side line BT India care is all being moved to backhaul and U.K. 150 staff will be the ones dealing with them - i.e. Instructing them not their outsourced Indian script, just like EE are now doing, live chat will also be moved away from India for all BT companies, this came from a BT call centre staff member I know, effectively BT are putting the BRITISH back in BT on customer facing after a long farce and many slapped wrists from Ofcom.

On a different subject, back in 2014 there was a Tmobile sim only deal on HUKD. It was a price error. 250 mins, 500 texts and 250 mb data. It should have been £8.00 per month but due to the pricing error it was advertised as £0.00 per month with a monthly discount of £8.00 per month. After the 12 months term was up the £8.00 discount is still being applied even today, 4 years later. I took a couple of those sims with Tmobile and can say their customer service is fantastic. Now they have given me extra 500 mins on each of those sims (750 in total) and unlimited data free of charge. So now I only pay 80odd pence(with the rpi increase) per month for each sim with 750 mins 500 texts and unlimited data on each sim I was going to start a separate thread for this deal too to increase the minutes and data allowance for those people who took that deal but didn't bother. Hopefully with this deal, the loyalty discount should continue after the 12 months.

There was an even earlier one in 2011. I think it was 250 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data for £0.00. The fact that only EE/T-Mobile seem to do this makes me think it is deliberate and not a mistake.
They probably do it to boost their customer numbers and possibly up-sell.

Maybe you like being miss sold things, I don't - I asked three staff everything I needed to know esp about priceplan changes and discounts in the legal period of return and cancellation.
Having a 4MBPS exchange speed to premises when Sky is downloading or streaming content means mobile data has to be used, and that's off peak, try using peak time at home in the evening internetting and Sky box activity when the BT Openreach Broadband network is saturated - often 50% of that 4MBPS is only available so the dependency on mobile data is high. Moving broadband providers won't help as it is BT Openreach, only a third of the exchange is Fibre enabled and has been for years, BT are not interested in rolling out to the other thousands of homes. I'm not paying Virgin minimum 100MBPS when at the property when all I require is better speeds on ADSL2 ( 8-20Mbps) or minimal Fibre connection speed to get to about proper ADSL2 speeds. Even Talk Talk won't set up broadband at the property because they said 'we will fail the basic speeds required for Ofcom'.
A good read here for those in laymans broadband Talk and those people who think everyone has acceptable broadband speeds and not dependant on mobile broadband ispreview.co.uk/ind…tml
A network signal box or wifi calling is no good as due to broadband speeds. It's been tried.
The indoor coverage at home for calls let alone mobile data is also very patchy even at windows throughout the property on ALL mobile networks. This is the edge of a major city, not the sticks or deep sticks of the country.
But mobile data can be tweaked by moving position in the property (it also means I spend less time online lol). The call quality on EE is poor (they said they upgraded recently - bull) but on the Three contract I took out AFTER the EE sims I took out for 'Binge' to counteract the home broadband issue with the unlimited streaming on certain services & the Three call quality is flawless. I can't even now just use the EE contract for 25GB data at home and Three for good call quality as my main calling number. EE speeds are much poorer than Three, they are using backhaul capacity here for their poor 3/4G data speeds (EE 3&4G are the same speed city wide, only the 3/4G icon changes not the speed) and call quality is suffering.
Some people really don't understand 'poor broadband speeds' do they Dave80, as true as your comment to Anthony69 is - it's also funny aF

21 Aug 17#344
The 'Max' speed I get in City Centre is 25/6MBPS on EE, 4G coverage maps are a lie as only the city centre has it. At my property I bounce between Edge and 3G 4MBPS - sometimes I get a bounce to circa 8MBPS but it quickly drops back to 3-4MBPS - it's not like I can even stream stuff without jitter, I just want to browse. Explaining this to EE staff they try to sell my EE broadband after I have explained it's a exchange limitation speed not provider.
City centre:
seaniboy
21 Aug 17#345
Now compare EE 4G with its MBNL backhaul partner Three (I've deliberately posted further tests away from EEs city centre only ACTUAL 4G coverage where only EE 2/3G exists)
And the chEEky beggars with their 'UK best network' won't give me a 'current' price plan change so I can use even their pisspoor data!

Chatted to someone from the UK and they refused the OP offer. Then tried my luck half an hour ago and got through to someone in India. I have a £15 loyalty bonus and my Sim only contract has expired. They offer 20GB at £4.99 or 25GB at £9.99 after the £15 loyalty was taken off. Not as good as the OP's deal, but good never-the-less. So you don't have to have the £20 loyalty to take up a deal.

I was referring to the fact if you have £20 or whatever loyalty discount that obviously your not going to get any reduction!
seaniboy
21 Aug 17#349
No the priceplan must be £5 more, not the cost, i.e. Discounts remain intact, nowhere there does it say you lose discounts or in (the non existent FULL priceplan change) T&C because at contract commencement/renewal/upgrade the discount is for the term or ongoing, because removing discounts is a renegotiation of the contract &T&C - customers are asking to move price plan not renegotiate another Minimum XX contract term - and it is quite clear EE don't allow staff to do that for a priceplan change request, they made it clear in that link.
The £5 jump from one EE Max plan to another 'current' EE Max plan is as business decision invalidated by EE as EE only has one Max plan available to customers (25GB £26) who purchased via website (and if even had to be completed by telesales (due to their own internal issues).

News just in, my source got Ofcom agreement that contractual agreements are being broken. Ofcom took complaint, EE point blank didn't discuss -just said we are issuing a deadlock letter for Ombudsman.
I guess everyone refused needs to start contacting Ofcom about EE abuse of contractual discounts removal to change priceplan. When Ofcom see a pattern they investigate.
I've never heard of a deadlock letter issued so quick - and NEVER without discussion of a Ofcom complaint to any telecom provider.

21 Aug 17#358
Call Ofcom lodge a complaint against EE, mis-selling (told me I could move to another 'current' store or EE web shop plan as long as it has higher data/cost - not the actual specifics they have (posted on a EE forum by staff) and refusal keep contractual discounts that inticed the sale when you joined when moving plan.
Read the whole thread and you'll see my other posts, I was especially mindful of asking staff plenty of info before sims were received as many planned situations would affect my future use.
There is also no official clear policy on price plan changes its bits here there and everywhere, nor do staff tell customers they can refuse them up or down AT ANY TIME - even down after minimum term served EE can refuse to move you plan.
You have the power who were refused via Ofcom to enforce EE to do the right thing, stop breaking Consumer Contracts Regulations and put in a fair official policy document or in T&C the full terms of 'in life plan changes'. A company of BT magnitude should be doing it by default.

they not refusing me as such just refusing to move me to any deal on website and only offering full priced - discount unless i choose to upgrade early into a new contract (in contract until 28th oct).. my annoyance is i cant even get access to all full priced packages online and as discount not even marked in most cases how exactly are you meant to work it out.. this thread proves they just offer widely different things to different people. so how can i take any advisors prices as fact?

What plan priceplan ? sim only ?
I've never been on sim only and been refused a plan move or discount continuing on 'current' plans from any network. If you google 'Vodafone price plan change" or replace that with Three or o2 you get a official page - infact you can login to your account with all them and change it yourself, you can't do either with EE, even T-Mobile & Orange customers can still login online and change plan.
EE are conning customers to give up contractual minimum term discounts to move to a priceplan that 'we dont have to let you move to a higher cost plan' if they don't want
Give up the discount in your minimum term or no move is tangible to deception, it's certainly not inline with Consumer Contracts Regulations - if you want to spend more per month than the monthly contracted amount at contract start date & within minimum term with discounts then holding a customer to ransom to give up that discount to change plan to that companies financial gain over the agreed amount that was contracted is not enforceable by EE.
By changing to a higher priceplan where you pay 1p more a monthyou are already giving them more money than the contract agreement stipulates for the minimum remaining term.

OMG can't believe that this offer exists! I just spoke to customer services and got this offer!! Heres the run down of what happened: - Only was offered 8GB and 12GB - Said my friend got offered 25GB - Didn't come up on his system for anything higher than 12GB so he spoke to his manager (Was on hold for about 5-6mins) - Offered 25GB for £10 and tried to get me to take it "such a great offer" and everything - Said my friend got it for £6 a week ago and I couldn't ring then because I had porting issues - Spoke to manager again (was on hold for about 2 mins) and was offered it for £6!
BEST DEAL EVER!!

yes sim only as i liked my phone .. i get unlimited calls, text and 5gb data for around £9 .. i will leave if i get better else where or on a new line ...sadly ee is the only network thats half decent here so they know we have limited options (them and likes of bt, plusnet ect) ... think best i was offered was 8gb for extra 6 quid ... because i can only move to other so called full priced plans that they will then deduct my 13 loyalty from.. by all accounts as an existing customer we cant move to any plans that are advertised online and according to one sales rep the sales people doing this are breaking the company rules on such matters

21 Aug 17#369
No problem (keeping a discount if you have one - in a minimum term (or open ended) moving to a 'current' offered sim only priceplan with any other network that is more expensive. That has been the industry way for years, EE are now saying NO but with no FULL explicit T&C in contracts because they can't write they will remove discounts in minimum term if you chose to spend more per month than the contract start/agreement because that's a unfair term - they are trying to do it on the fly misleading customers.

Sorry if it's already been pointed out...
My problem is that my tariff's original value is £34.99 without my loyalty (£14.99 with). You can only go down, not up, based on the "face value" of the tariff, which is why I'm getting knocked back.
So if your tariff before loyalty discount is greater than £26, forget it. If your tariff before loyalty discount is less than £26, you're a winner.

What EE are offering customers is the instore plans, the only place they are 'current'.
The £6 off £26 is a joke, you can get it for 20% off by buying a payg sim and asking to move to the £26 PM plan!
johnnycbit
22 Aug 17#409
still not guaranteed for everyone till it happens
seaniboy
22 Aug 17#410
Correct, EE are saying that is a promotional plan though...so promotional infact it replaced all other 'online' Max plans  if it was promotional other Max plans would be available online where we bought our sims from.
What they are trying to do is move us to 'instore' only plans. Get a brochure in store - THE GUIDE.
The £2.50/£5.00 minimum requirement to move plans is for 12/24 month handset contracts NOT sim only - any price rise on a change of any 'current' sim only plan is valid - even £1, it is over the contracted amount of £5 per month.
The senior management have no F'in clue what they are feeding down to staff, I spoke to the CMA today who want my contact to contact them about the matter.

22 Aug 17#412
"PAY MONTHLY" - page 21
"SIM PLANS" page 23
Funny enough there is no 'in life plan change' terms or conditions in the brochure T&C or online - so the whole EE Community staff post is just fraud, these £2.50/£5.00 plan changes or plan move 'rules' don't exist anywhere official in T&C.
I bet the EE Executive Office are glad they sent the account holder a deadlock letter now - without discussion on the matter at hand after Ofcom contacted EE
As I said the Competition & Mergers Authority have took a interest in these unfair terms - and these other terms that don't actually "exist" in official EE format that staff misleading customers on calls to EE or staff posting on the EE Community Forum.
I can see a CMA and Ofcom joint investigation coming on  Did I mention fine too ? Apparently a £42 million fine in March wasn't enough for BT

nublets2k
23 Aug 17#421
The first one is on one bar of signal, and the other two are to a server on Douglas on the Isle of Man??! That's not going to help the results.
It looks like you're just in an area with poor EE coverage, EE and Three share only the backhaul for 4G nothing else.
seaniboy
23 Aug 17#422
I don't chose the server.
Its not coverage its capacity, Orange base stations I assume not fully upgraded - T-Mobile had a lack of them, I know my area kept most of the O base stations were kept. You can't use 4G Voice calling as calls break up worse than 2&3G, the capacity is being used for data to improve speed that's still under the lower 3G speeds, 4G has no speed increase over 3G but Three can manage 65Mbps from the same base stations. Can only hazard a guess the Orange hardware has not been upgraded fully like they said was happening. At least data is useable but slow, call quality is horrific. They share 3G, it was T-Mobile & Three that set up MBNL Ltd as joint backhaul company.
I thought great I'll just use it for (slower but) data, but EE won't let me change plan. So looks like I'll use Three and spend £10 planand £15 add ons for 30GB/AYCE data.

28 Aug 17#453
So after digging and speaking to multiple agents and as mentioned earlier in this thread.
If you're out of contract you can move to any plan and existing loyalty discounts can be applied. They will try and make you upgrade and you can refuse asking which plans are available.
After hitting a brick wall with this thread offer I've been offered (including my £21 loyalty) all max plans. 12gb for 11.99, 20gb for 15.99 and 30gb for 20.99. I've gone for the 30gb plan for 20.99. Coupled with my historic 10gb data boost that's a 4g EE 30gb max plan plus 10gb data boost giving me 40gb max data for 20.99.
Out of interest, how did everyone manage to get the 'loyalty discount' in the first place? Is it something you have to ask for, and how do they determine the amount of loyalty to apply if they do?
Thanks

1 Sep 17#457
Yup. Exactly. More expensive, so they'll have you take it. If you were £27 (£7 after discount) they wouldn't let you do it.
if anyone's interested, I did manage to get the 40GB Max tariff for £19.99 (originally £39.99, less £20 loyalty discount). Although I see even now the 40GB has went up to £44.99... worth a try though.

I don't think so -- your June plan would have been £24 before loyalty, yes?
From what I've understood, you can't downgrade your price plan while in contract – you can only take a more expensive plan; hence why they'd allow you to go from £24 (= £4 w/loyalty) up to £26 (= £6 w/loyalty).
I think too that the £26 deal might only have been good for August, but your best bet is to get on Live Chat to them and tell them you'd like some more data. They'll tell you what price plans are available above yours (their systems won't show anything cheaper while in contract), and just ask to keep your £20 loyalty.
What I was offered on live chat they wouldn't offer on the phone, so live chat on the website is the way to go!

4 Sep 17#461
If you've already been in contract with them for a few months, you can upgrade to a more expensive price plan, and they can offer up to £20 loyalty. I got my current tariff (£34.99 20GB plan, £14.99 with loyalty) after about 5 months of joining, and had a £21 8GB tariff (no discount) until that point. So whatever advertised price you see, you can assume they'll take £20 off it if you're an existing customer.
Again that's assuming that if a) you're still in contract, the price plan costs more than your current tariff before discount, or b) you're out of contract, and can take £20 off virtually any tariff they have live.

Yes, you missed the 25GB deal. However you can get 22GB data offer which is advertised at £26 per month. Call up and ask for more data, and you should be able to get the 22GB data for £6. (£26 - £20 loyalty)

BEFORE CONFIRMING CHANGE. ASK FINAL MONTHLY PRICE AND ALSO ASK THAT THE LOYALTY DISCOUNT HAS BEEN RETAINED.
AND ALWAYS SEND YOURSELF THE EMAIL TRANSCRIPT. EE ASKED ME TO FORWARD A TRANSCRIPT ONCE TO A MANAGERS EMAIL, SO IT DOES SERVE A PURPOSE.
Other than that, be nice, being nice works.
Let me know if I can assist any further mate, you will get it.

lol thanks for the info and for being nice
the best I got offered was 35gb, for 9.99 so not sure if they have a note on my account, as every advisor i spoke to said let me check, when i asked, they said they were checking what previous chat logs said.
What did you actually ask for when you got through on chat? as everytime i've asked for more data, i get given their standard plans -£20 but never the online ones such as 22gb as they state its for new customers only.
I do have 2 sims, so not sure if that has any thing to do with what I get offerd
WestMidlands
5 Sep 17#490
Mate, if you're being offered 35gb for £10 take it. If you can afford i and dont mind paying a tenner take itt, i don't even use 4gb hence why I'm sticking to the £6. I hardly use my phone mate, i'm getting it because it's just a quid difference mate, i wouldnt go for the 35 for 10.
all i said everytime was:
me: hi i need more data me: theres a plan on your site, 22gb for £26 me: if you can do that for me that would be perfect then they do it
also make sure ur discount is retained, keep trying don't accept something you don't want.
johnnycbit
5 Sep 17#491
i was dubious as it had an expiry on the discount, so it would have increased come the end of the 12 months to full price, also not sure if you are aware but ee t&c state they can refuse a downgrade at the end of the contract to a lower plan, which could mean being stuck with it.
thanks for the info, will give it ago.
I don't mind getting the deal, but not really in need of it, but be nice to have such a bargain.
how many chat attempts did you have? also when you kept connecting to a new chat did they mention u already spoken to so and so before and they can't offer it?
will update u tomorrow if i manage to get any sort of deal

Out of curiosity
Do you think the 40 pound loyalty discount would work on a phone upgrade/contract ? To get a phone
I have another line from june that's showing £40 loyalty
jagga303
7 Sep 17#499
I'm not sure, But possibly not as the loyalty discount was given on sim only contract and I don't think they'll apply it on a phone contract. But there's no harm in trying to see if you can still get the £40 loyalty. Give them a call.
Pateo
7 Sep 17#500
Apparently that's same as what my account was showing, I didn't know this at the time a phoned EE, they pointed this out to me, saying it's obviously a mistake as I wouldn't be paying anything to ee. So they removed it! How did you end up with £40 loyalty discount?
jagga303
7 Sep 17#501
I didn't end up with £40 loyalty discount, only £20 loyalty discount like the rest of us who took the £5 offer back in June. I thought you were the one with £40 loyalty discount.

Guys keep trying. I got this today as I went through retentions saying I needed more data and will be shopping around and leaving. Lovely Irish guy said we'll do 30gb but then placed me on hold when he noticed my £40 loyalty discounts and said something's not looking right but il do this for you anyway. For £2 extra he bumped me up and I did mention the max plan and that many people had already got it via this offer which he took into consideration. They are hesitant but keep pushing or try a different way i.e. Live chat etc. So I will be paying £6.99 from October for 30gb :nerd:

Johnnycbit, yes he wasn't aware at all about this June offer when he quizzed me on my loyalty discounts. He said he had never seen so much on an account before so I explained the June deal and then this deal as well. He put me on hold to have a word with his manager who after umming and ahhing he persuaded to give me this offer for an additional £2. He was just a normal cs advisor and an absolute diamond. Think the trick is to let them be aware of this deal and how u have the loyalty discounts otherwise they will probably fob u off as they are in the dark. Hope this helps

i think most ppl will get to swap onto higher plans but for some reason the system wouldn't allow it for my no without removing the discount. Will try again some other time  good to know 26GB isn't the limit. 30gb with discount remaining,35gb is the target to beat.

Damn I didn't catch the name of the guy I spoke to but he was bamboozled looking at my discounts saying never ever had he seen so many tot up. Also mentioned that they would investigate my previous calls to find out where they went wrong as this deal in his words "they were paying me to be on EE not me paying them  my loyalties still show the same but I hope there's no problems afterwards as I was being charged full price when I got this deal in June and had to call up and get credit re applied back on to my account.

After the 5ed attempt online I gave up.. Glad I did as we just managed to get a new customer account with BT fibre (closed old one opened new one) so paying under 19 a month after discounts including line rental...then got 4 bt sims with 20gb unlimited calls and texts for £16 with 100 vouchers and 60 quid quidco has tracked and due to pay out on 5ed Oct..(both paid last time no reason it shouldn't it said we could have both on advert too as was exclusive quidco Deal on this tariff only) When I get all the discounts I'll move them to a family sim for a even bigger savings and after the discount is effectively under £2 a month per sim... Even without quidco it something like £3.50 a month.. I'm happy
Opening post
hotukdeals.com/dea…785
(This plan is called "12m sim max 25GB)
I said I will happily take the second offer for £6 per month, and I was told this would take effect on my next billing date.
Today is my billing date when my allowances refresh, and I have been moved on to the new plan. (not new 12 months contract, continues from June)
Also they gave me 6 months free Apple music starting from today.

Thanks.
Say your friend just changed his plan to this for £6 per month.
If they don't offer it for £6.00, keep trying until you get a customer advisor who will.
I spent two weeks in California using my phone in exactly the same way as I do here in the UK. Absolutely brilliant.
This deal I posted is mainly for those who took the £5 offer back in June, as most if not all, got the £20 loyalty.
Choose the " speak to an advisor" option.
In June they did give the deal with lots of data
pleases share
thanks
I pay £17 for it inc EU use
I wanted another sim for the same offer but they didn't do it.
Did you recall EE reps name?
3rd time lucky! I wanted the 25gb.
But for some reason the advisor Gave me 30gb unlimited unlimited max plan. Works in USA and Canada.
For £6!
Thanks op!
Not cold after all!!
I'm going Canada on tuesday so it's great extra 26gb!
Well done you!
But...Call with known offers from other networks and ask for a PAC - maybe not get £20 a month off but hey good discounts discount.
If you had the £5 deal back in June and you want more data for not much more £'s, my advice is to keep trying until you get someone who will sort it for you.
Good luck.
But surely everyone who took the £5 offer in June, should have same details regarding plan etc, hence should be offered this deal?
I may be wrong, as I don't know how it works
So for 2 months I didn't even use the 4GB sim plan.
a. Took the £5 contract and stand a chance to get this.
b. Seeing this deal, others are possibly getting better than their current deals.
c. Being a good deal, some members appreciate it, even though they don't/can't take up the deal.
Have you started a new 12 months contract, or is it still continuing from June?
As mine continued from June.
You can move to any 'current' active priceplan higher or the same cost, even a promotional £26/25GB Max plan from a lower Max plan.
2.7 here is interesting, note:we don't need to allow you to downgrade price plan AFTER MINIMUM TERM
ee.co.uk/con…pdf
Just called to go onto the 25Gb offer, my son uses the line and has killed the 4Gb within days of each month!
I have the £26 25Gb MAX plan on my line that is on the same account, I asked if the other line could be moved to the MAX plan. The advisor refused because it is reduced to £26 only for new lines, not plan changes. She said it would be £41 per month for this.
Ill try again tomorrow to see what they say!
Here is the original EE sim offer hotukdeals.com/dea…785
When you call, say you need more data and you would like to move to a similar plan with more data. Don't mention upgrade.
If you have the £5 offer with £20 loyalty then first ask for the 30 GB plan and how much it would cost with your £20 loyalty. They should say it will cost you £21. (Originally £41)
Then ask for next plan with less data than 30GB. They should say it's 25GB.
With your £20 loyalty this should cost you £6.(Originally £26)
Good luck!
They wouldn't do it
They wanted my "friends" number to verify the deal
If they ask why, say you want to change plan and staff are wanting to remove discount.
Also mention that when you took the contract you were told you can move to a higher price plan and your discount will stay intact.
Let us know how you get on.
First you asked for proof, when that was provided, now you say it's hardly a deal when its agent specific.
Even if its agent specific as you say, many people have got this deal in past couple of days, so it's a fine deal for them.
You've been asking for proof which you have now got.
Did you manage to get this?
When you call, say you need more data and you would like to move to a similar plan with more data. Don't mention upgrade.
If you have the £5 offer with £20 loyalty then first ask for the 30 GB plan and how much it would cost with your £20 loyalty. They should say it will cost you £21. (Originally £41)
Then ask for next plan with less data than 30GB. They should say it's 25GB.
With your £20 loyalty this should cost you £6.(Originally £26)
Good luck!
I'm not on the June deal, I'm out of contract and get 16GB for £5.84 (I have £30 loyalty discount).
I thought I'd try and get something more but there you go, move plan lose all discount.
Could I have got more data? They advised that their 30GB data plan would cost me £26.99
After calling them 4 times today every person I spoke to said they couldn't do it
I went online and spoke to customer services they did it without a problem
25gb for £6
Thanks @jagga303
I took the second option
App shows full 25GB today. Also had text this morning confirming too.
Cheers op!!!
Also when does your billing cycle refresh/start, mine is 15th of month?
I also can't see any option on live chat to chat about existing account but maybe I need to sign in via the app?
My upgrade is due and I understand it's a price plan change so when I log in existing it shows me the 30gb plan you mention.
I only see the 25gb if I look at ee website as a new customer.
I only found out about this offer when I called up to ask for more data then this deal was mentioned to me.
thanks op
Maybe I'll be third time lucky
This how most of us got the£20 loyalty discount!
This how most of us got the£20 loyalty discount!
EE max 30gb for £20.99 ( price plan is 41.99 with 21 discount applied.)
He offered me the 12gb max plan which is 32.99 and was happy to apply my 21 loyalty discount to the plan meaning I would get 12gb for 11.99 a month.
Say to supervisor you were promised a particular offer by Rory and now josh is denying you that offer.
Tell them you are not happy about the situation and you want the offer that Rory spoke about.
See what happens.
He said it will come into effect from tomorrow. Hopefully there are no problems.
Chat system seems to be very selective!
I've finally have the same result as yourself, almost same story, constant phoning , live chat EE being refused! Yesterday Rory Irish call center promised me 30gb starting 15th September but I would have to phone back two days before to action it! Phoned earlier today to ask a few questions, Newcastle call center.(evil Josh) reversed what Rory promised, saying I would have to pay a lot more for extra data!
But result a few hours ago I got through to India live chat to the most pleasant person I've ever had the pleasure to live chat with, Emmanuel (my EE guardian :innocent: ). couldn't do enough for me. I've now been sent confirmation text to promise me I shall start on the 15th September 25gb at £6 pm.I will share live chat transcript here later. Thanks again jagga303 for your words of encouragement!
You can thank me later...
I tried everything other then new line and it won't start chat but when I tried new line it said they can't help existing customers and he referred me to call 150.
Just wondering, if I wanted to get the 30gb, what do you think they would say?
That's when I found out by end of chat it was India call center! Good luck to you.
Thought after reading the posts that it would be a load of hassle but thought I may as well try.
Logged into my account and while looking at my details live chat came up. Just stated that I needed more data and was offered 7gb or 12gb and I said needed more like 25-30gb and rep went and asked supervisor and was offered the 25gb for £6 and asked if apple music could be reset since I haven't used the SIM - no problem -will get the 25gb from next billing.
It was the India call centre this morning
Just got this deal via logging into my account and awaiting Live Chat to pop up got a foreign c/s agent (Anker) and he did it straight away, he offered me 7 or 8 go first for £8 then I mentioned this deal with my loyalty and he said yes of course ( tried last night and got knocked back, advised to call 150)
well please, he even sent a text to confirm (I hope as it's my daughters phone) not sure if my live chat has worked though as no email copy has come back yet despite requesting a copy
I'll go back on live chat tomorrow to confirm all is well
once again thanks to All on here
Ive spoke to store staff and they confirmed another customer had to fight to get it done, that a plan change is 'current' plans instore or online and marketing really screwed up as discounts are contractual for term and leaving only 1 Max plan on 12m sim only was a balls up.
Can't sack staff for following the procedures EE have for priceplan changes. Absurd lies from advisor or EE management.
The advisor said 'you don't want me to lose my job do you?'
Which option do you select on the Live Char?
Thanks
No luck again. Basically you need to be in contract and have a price plan change. Not an upgrade, as I am out of contract I can only have upgrade where you can't keep loyalty discount.
Good on all the people who have got this deal, I'm jealous.
But yes as you say if you're in contract you can change to a higher price plan and discount remains. As I'm not in contract it has to be an upgrade deal where no discount can be carried over. So I stick with my current deal at £5.84/m for 16GB.
Staff are abusing thier own plan change policies as contracted left right & centre,
"Your contract length cannot change and the data allowance must match or be higher than your current"
What plan are you on ?
EE in Jan posted their terms on priceplan changes - community.ee.co.uk/t5/…970
While you are in that page again go to the bottom and click NO at 'was everything clear on this page?' And tell them your plan type does not show - only it's a sim contract not the 4GEE/Max/Essential type it is.
Looks like the old Extra plan from Feb 2016 to August 2016
ee.co.uk/con…pdf
which throws another spanner in the works as there is no Extra migration policy to 4GEE/Essential/Max here community.ee.co.uk/t5/…397
Arse & elbow come to mind.
So I think I'm just going to leave it, I get a decent deal at £6 for 16GB. I just wanted 25GB for the same money!
this new deal starts next month eg
when your next bill cycle starts
The adviser added 10gb data on my account for the duration of the contract for free. So nice of them!
my contract with 25gb starts 2morrow. on the same contract so the Max plan with 25gb instead of 4gb for £6 a month!!
ive got confirmation via text and my account info will be updated by midnight tonight.
Thanks OP. HEAT ADDED!!!
I used this chat and always choose option 1 (I pay monthly - Account/Billing Enquiry).
Then choose EE, Service Support
I logged into EE on a iPhone browser then the options djnield showed as these are for 'current' customers - not the word 'current' seems very much anything by my and the threads experience on priceplan change terms with EE! :astonished:
I had to login several times to get the correct chat drop down menu when I already was, it kept throwing me to the non login chat & not recognising I was already logged in and asking me to do such, another bug with EE.
Then some fresh peeps today saying they got it no problem. I can't figure
Are we supposed to continually try until it happens?
Well done.....finally.
On 11 August I called EE to ask for my data, and they offered me the £6 25GB deal and said it would start on my next billing date which was 15 August.
On 15 August this new plan took effect and that's when I posted this deal.
Hope it's all clear now.
My account is marked, I can no longer request any changes via chat anymore. I must visit a store from now on. My account notes will deny chat operators from helping further.
just WOW!
Did you not get anywhere then in the end?
on the phone, it got applied but when the supervisor realised i already had 20 discount, decided not to giv it to me...
oh well i tried.
thanks for bringing it to my attention
Whilst I was told my new 25GB would start on 15.Sept.2017
A number of my addons (Apple Music & £20 loyalty) state end 15 Sept 2017 ??
Whilst I have my live chat record to prove my loyalty discount continues
Has anyone who transferred straight away check there account details yet
So not to worry.

I for one found the info here on HUKD and had a invite to EE £5 deal, I came across it having a clear out after I ordered -over that weekend.
Then why did I like many others get a 2nd and in my case 3rd call offering me another £6 sim only deal
As in there words I had an excellent credit score and they could offer me another one
Despite the calls I turned them down as I was tied into other sim only deals
Stating Mr Xxxxx xxxxxxxx you now have 25GB for £6
still in chat asked for manager and threatened with contacting ofcom because i cant access these full priced deals online and feels wrong they cant offer me the online deals...
So now I only pay 80odd pence(with the rpi increase) per month for each sim with 750 mins 500 texts and unlimited data on each sim
I was going to start a separate thread for this deal too to increase the minutes and data allowance for those people who took that deal but didn't bother.
Hopefully with this deal, the loyalty discount should continue after the 12 months.
Especially that I'm " the true face of EE services" I cannot even look in a mirror anymore, is it just me or do I detect a hint of envy in the EE advisors word's?
oh i give up... not out of contract until 28th oct sure be nice they did something puts me off staying with them..
They probably do it to boost their customer numbers and possibly up-sell.
with regards to the lack of communication regarding this deal and the inconsistency in applying it to all customers.
anyone else fancy giving their opinion to EE who aim to be number 1 rated for customer service/satisfaction?
My opinion regarding EE and the fact that I just left 3 network is that EE is definitely number 1 for customer service/satisfaction, after all why wouldn't I rate them so high as I was only with them for 2 months and they offered me this deal.
Regarding lack of communication about this deal and being inconsistent in applying it to all customers, I agree they should pull their socks up regarding these issues.
Other than that, I can't fault them to be honest.

I've had a work contract previously and a personal and they both showed end dates for discount period.
Laymans terms: lawdonut.co.uk/bus…ing
A good read here for those in laymans broadband Talk and those people who think everyone has acceptable broadband speeds and not dependant on mobile broadband
ispreview.co.uk/ind…tml
Some people really don't understand 'poor broadband speeds' do they Dave80, as true as your comment to Anthony69 is - it's also funny aF
to 3-4MBPS - it's not like I can even stream stuff without jitter, I just want to browse. Explaining this to EE staff they try to sell my EE broadband after I have explained it's a exchange limitation speed not provider.

And the chEEky beggars with their 'UK best network' won't give me a 'current' price plan change so I can use even their pisspoor data!
The £5 jump from one EE Max plan to another 'current' EE Max plan is as business decision invalidated by EE as EE only has one Max plan available to customers (25GB £26) who purchased via website (and if even had to be completed by telesales (due to their own internal issues).

Have a look Via your EE app or EE account!
Below from my EE account showing £20 loyalty discount with indicator when it ends!
I got it for my daughter, she has had 2 calls today from 01844 398610
also a text message about taking out another sim (with 20GB) for just (wait for it) £18:90 a month
- Only was offered 8GB and 12GB
- Said my friend got offered 25GB
- Didn't come up on his system for anything higher than 12GB so he spoke to his manager (Was on hold for about 5-6mins)
- Offered 25GB for £10 and tried to get me to take it "such a great offer" and everything
- Said my friend got it for £6 a week ago and I couldn't ring then because I had porting issues
- Spoke to manager again (was on hold for about 2 mins) and was offered it for £6!
BEST DEAL EVER!!
Having a larf...
so what exactly is the basis for writing to ofcom?
Sorry.
I believe - I have a 5 GB plan 2000 mins, 2000 text a month
20 pound a month 6 £ loyalty discount
so paying 13.99 a month
But this 6 pounds a month for 20 GB is chilling  . Would like to have one
OR
you have an option to take multiple SIM at this price and offer one to me and change the SIM on my name. :P
£26 - £6 = £20
In all sense, offers should be for every one. Not for selected few. Targetted marketting for a reason. Iam quiet sure EE had a reason to do it.
Many people here got this and there were some who didn't get it.
But I agree that everyone who had the £20 loyalty discount should get this deal.
25 GB Plan for 20 £'s.
So anyone who did manage to bag it... can I get your number? :kissing_heart: :relaxed:

thoughts?
My problem is that my tariff's original value is £34.99 without my loyalty (£14.99 with).
You can only go down, not up, based on the "face value" of the tariff, which is why I'm getting knocked back.
So if your tariff before loyalty discount is greater than £26, forget it.
If your tariff before loyalty discount is less than £26, you're a winner.
My new plan I moved to was originally £26 after loyalty discount £6
So I managed to move up rather than down as you suggest.
Got the deal through live chat
30gb for £1.99
For some reason i had 2 £20 loyalty discounts
30gb will start 11/9 next billing cycle
But now when i log into ee account , it's showing expiry date 11/9 for the two £20 loyalty discounts
i was looking at the deal from back in June and it seems others are in the same boat were they have 2 $20 discounts and have not made any payments yet .
i only made 1 payment so for $4.98 and then ever since i've had credits on my acount
The £6 off £26 is a joke, you can get it for 20% off by buying a payg sim and asking to move to the £26 PM plan!
Apparently a £42 million fine in March wasn't enough for BT
and I was told yes the £20 loyalty discount continues
asked how much for my new plan, told £6 after the £20 discount
heres 2 bars of 4G I just done, 4.51 Down, 0.15 Up iPhone 6s speedtest.net/my-…959

Now what were you saying about EEs partner Three in base station transmissions and its speed being slow again ?
It looks like you're just in an area with poor EE coverage, EE and Three share only the backhaul for 4G nothing else.
Good work there.

Phoned back few days later got through to Newcastle call center to Evil Josh he reversed what Rory promised, saying it was wrong!
Third time I went Via live chat India, Emmanuel agreed to give me 25gb but again have to wait until billing start date!
Fourth and final India live chat with Anker he allowed to have 25gb actioned within a few hours!
So been on 25gb for over a week now
Got it via online chat as suggested by others, ask for more data, start at circa 30GB and just help them on their way to suggesting the 25GB. He just offered it to me after we discussed some of the other plans.
I haven't had it quite as cheap as others, as I had £16 loyalty on my account, as opposed to the £20 that others have.
I'm still delighted with the deal for £10 per month after loyalty applied. Thanks OP!
i might have a word with ofcom about why i'm unable to move to a plan which is higher in cost but they are wanting to take off this loyalty bonus
I tried to call her bluff and say put me on it and I'll risk them reverting me back to my old account. She wasn't having it.
Again feels like I'm being fobbed off. I've asked to speak with escalation team.

Coupled with my historic 10gb data boost that's a 4g EE 30gb max plan plus 10gb data boost giving me 40gb max data for 20.99.
hotukdeals.com/tag…785
Out of interest, how did everyone manage to get the 'loyalty discount' in the first place? Is it something you have to ask for, and how do they determine the amount of loyalty to apply if they do?
Thanks
If you were £27 (£7 after discount) they wouldn't let you do it.
if anyone's interested, I did manage to get the 40GB Max tariff for £19.99 (originally £39.99, less £20 loyalty discount). Although I see even now the 40GB has went up to £44.99... worth a try though.
I'm on about this plan:
I'm on about this plan:
can this work?
Again that's assuming that if a) you're still in contract, the price plan costs more than your current tariff before discount, or b) you're out of contract, and can take £20 off virtually any tariff they have live.
I got the £5 special deal in June.
I missed this deal (ended on 29th).
Can this deal still be had?
If not - please help me understand what can be achieved now - 4gb is simply to low if you have a family.
I'm sure there are other members of the community in a similar situation.
My sincere and genuine thanks to any willing to contribute.
Libertas.
Call up and ask for more data, and you should be able to get the 22GB data for £6. (£26 - £20 loyalty)
That's when I found out by end of chat it was India call center! Good luck to you

Please share what you were able to get so I can do the same.
And also - since we are the last two - will you please help me to get the same as I go through the process?
also how was it sorted eventually?
AND ALWAYS SEND YOURSELF THE EMAIL TRANSCRIPT. EE ASKED ME TO FORWARD A TRANSCRIPT ONCE TO A MANAGERS EMAIL, SO IT DOES SERVE A PURPOSE.
Other than that, be nice, being nice works.
Let me know if I can assist any further mate, you will get it.
the best I got offered was 35gb, for 9.99 so not sure if they have a note on my account, as every advisor i spoke to said let me check, when i asked, they said they were checking what previous chat logs said.
What did you actually ask for when you got through on chat? as everytime i've asked for more data, i get given their standard plans -£20 but never the online ones such as 22gb as they state its for new customers only.
I do have 2 sims, so not sure if that has any thing to do with what I get offerd
all i said everytime was:
me: hi i need more data
me: theres a plan on your site, 22gb for £26
me: if you can do that for me that would be perfect
then they do it
also make sure ur discount is retained, keep trying don't accept something you don't want.
thanks for the info, will give it ago.
I don't mind getting the deal, but not really in need of it, but be nice to have such a bargain.
how many chat attempts did you have? also when you kept connecting to a new chat did they mention u already spoken to so and so before and they can't offer it?
will update u tomorrow if i manage to get any sort of deal
comparing 4gb you can get it for £9 from three
hotukdeals.com/dea…473
Mate I'm not fussed there will alway be deals like this yearly, enjoy it whilst it lasts really
I've been on every network there is
Out of curiosity
Do you think the 40 pound loyalty discount would work on a phone upgrade/contract ? To get a phone
I have another line from june that's showing £40 loyalty
But there's no harm in trying to see if you can still get the £40 loyalty.
Give them a call.
I thought you were the one with £40 loyalty discount.
But i took out two sims
1 in my name and 1 in wife's
Both the accounts we've only made the first payment of £4.98 and not a payment since
It always shows credit
wait until you can get a different plan with higher GB download, as obviously they have made a mistake, whatever you do, don't ring them as the first twat u speak to one the cs desk will remove your discount pretty much guaranteed.
(wonder if I can take out another sim on the same terms ???
also on my (or my daughters shall I say) BT sport app it states the same, loyalty can not be removed ??
wouldn't mind but she doesn't use it
any know if it will work on another phone, suppose thats a No
Once again Thanks to the OP and HUKD
yet another blinding deal
my current 3 sim only deal finishes in Jan, was hoping to take out another EE sim on the same terms obviously
anyone
