I am interested in an IP camera and saw a 1080P IP camera posted yesterday for £60 which seemed to have all the features but is quite pricey.
After browsing about, I came across this one by Ebitcam that looks quite similar to the one above but for £34.99 after a discount code MAPFBW83 from the listing page is applied. This makes the 1080P IP Camera the same price as their 720P IP camera without a code and also much cheaper than the one above.

Is this just the same as this one that I recently bought, but with different branding and at a higher price?? Cause I feel being ripped off now lol.
I've tried to spot the differences. Ebitcam has a larger 1/3" sensor compared to Maisi at 1/4". Larger sensor usually means better quality, especially in low light. Ebitcam also supports 128GB MicroSD cards compared to Maisi that only supports up to 64GB MicroSD

Again, no mention of ONVIF support. That could get very annoying once you get two or three different models of camera each requiring their own propriety app and propriety windows software to view them instead of working in a single app.
Not a fan of cloud P2P either, as you are reliant on the manufacturer to provide regular security fixes. Better using Onvif and if you require remote access, running your own VPN server.

Anyone have issues connecting to 2.4ghz WiFi? I'm using WPA/WPA2 Personal class encryption (not WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Class) It *will* connect if security is removed. Any ideas? Can't use ethernet due to placement of camera.

It connects without security, but that's obviously not a great idea! I've emailed Ebitcam for assistance, so will paste their reply here, before I go about returning it. Looked so promising too!

Hi xxx , Thanks for writing to us, don't worry, we can help you.
When connecting this camera with the network, please notice : 1. the WiFi signal should be 2.4GHZ. 2. there is no any special characters in wifi name and password. 3. try to put camera close to the router to configure wifi, the camera requests high to the network signal, so walls between the router and camera will have influence to the wifi signal. 4. When the indicator lights flash red and green, you can process the configuration.
You can press the reset button to try to connecting again, thanks. Scan the QR code on camera to add camera, change the camera password "admin" to a new password. When the indicator lights flash red and green, you can process the configuration.
and here is another way: plug into your router box with Ethernet cable firstly and then configuring for WiFi connection in app. (when the light flash red and green, can start to configure wifi) Make sure that the wifi is connected well ( the light is green ), then you could plug out the Ethernet cable.

Good choice. Having now followed all of their suggestions, I could only connect via ethernet, or unsecured network. It's getting returned to Amazon tomorrow :disappointed:
