Domino's is giving away 10,000 free pizzas across the country, as a way of celebrating the opening of their 1,000th store in the UK.
Although it sounds good, there's not as much pizza to go around as you might hope, as they're giving out pizza at each of their stores. That means there will only be ten free pizzas on offer at each branch.
Domino's stores open at 11am today. If you're one of the first people to arrive and ask for a free pizza, then you'll be given a free personal cheese and tomato pizz
There's some additional good news for anyone who lives near the new, 1,000th store in Overton, Hampshire. Not only will you now be able to order Domino's, you will also be entitled to an extra giveaway. A hundred 'Domi-notes' have been hidden around the town, which if found, entitle you to a free pizza.
Domino's CEO David Wild said: "'Domi-Day' is our way of saying thank you for their continued loyalty and support and we look forward to opening more stores, creating more jobs and delivering more pizza over the next 30 years and beyond."

Bad pizza, bad company, to be honest, bad deal.

Bad deal - but I guess still a gesture of good will. However, bad pizza - no way. Domino's do the best pizza's around. Expensive - a rip off, yes. But its good. People would be foolish to say that the supermarket pizza or a frozen one is better than a Domino's cooked one.

Bleugh. If greasy, cheap, slimy pizza is your thing sure. Ever noticed how all of the meat tastes the same, just in different shapes?
Try your local pizzeria, any local Italian (authentic) will smash a Domino's. Doesn't help that Domino's pizzas are over 2000 cals each either.

Oh, I never said it wasn't greasy. I said we can't say that Domino's don't make good pizza. It's very good dough and very well cooked with no soggy bits. And American style preferences can't be compared with Italian style. Pizza has moved on, much like bread that used to weigh a ton and could be stored for a year. That wouldn't mean that all the bread we eat is rubbish just because it isn't the same as what some of the other Euro countries eat. It's good pizza, it's unhealthy and expensive, but its good pizza.

Hmm... I guess it's highly subjective. I'd take Papa Johns any day over a Domino's!

Actually, a Pizza Express pizza from the chilled section (especially Sloppy Giuseppe, my favourite!) of a good quality supermarket, beats Domino's by a long way. They are absolutely delicious.
Dominoes is just a takeaway pizza - something made quick just to fill you up. As someone else mentioned something similar - you can't beat a proper Italian pizza from a proper Italian restaurant hand made by a proper Italian chef.

I think there are variations on preference especially as American style pizzas deviate ever more from Italian styled ones. However, the point I was trying to make was that regardless of its Italian authenticity or its healthiness, people can't say that Domino's don't make a good pizza. It's all freshly made and the dough is superb in how it rises. The way its cooked ensures its crisp throughout and no risk of soggy bits in the middle like when frozen ones are purchased. Even fresh ones from the supermarket are at most okay.

Best pizza? Are you kidding me? Greasy carpet with rubber american cheese? Meats that don't actually vary in taste, just texture and shape?
Bleugh. Trip to the local pizzeria any day of the week. This stuff is awful, although I admit it's addictive.

Cold, as you have to buy something. And also if you go in there and ask for a free pizza, and they have already given them all, then it is embarrassing and you half to walk out with your head down.

This was a good deal for those in the right place at the right time.
Sent my kids around for store opening at 11, they had no trouble getting a free pizza each. They said there were 5 others waiting too all there for a free pizza.
So that was lunch sorted, happy kids as a nice treat in the holidays and happy mum as it cost it nothing
Thanks domino's

I went to my nearest one about 11.15 as it was only a few minutes walk. The guy told me it was only free with an additional purchase. I told him I couldn't see that on the T+C's on the website, he shrugged and I left.
