Never seen a Phantom 3 advertised for such a low price and even second hand on eBay this would be represent a good buy. You have to select the US plug for this price but I can't see that's a major issue?

Argos seem to be out of stock anyway (at least at any shops near me).

Hmm, if I've missed getting £50 of the Phantom 3 from Argos I'm not going to be happy :disappointed:
Any other suitable codes around ?

Probably worth paying a bit more for the Phantom 3 SE. It has much better range, and a better camera. Currently £418 from Tomtop. tomtop.com/rc-…tml

Completely agree with this, just purchased the SE and after watching numerous reviews and sample footage the quality upgrade is significant from the P3 standard

at the exchange rate this moment in time it works out at £317.34 if you use a card like halifax rewards or aqua card which gives you true exchange rates, also there is 9% quidco which will take off £28.56 all being well so £288.78 possible cost, i know this as i have just purchased one and the quidco tracked at the above rate.if you use paypal make sure your card is set for paypal not to convert the currency but your credit card is set to convert.

Not a great price, has been £14 more on Amazon, and they have something called customer service.

It's only ever been £399 for a short time late last year and is usually £449 when it's actually in stock, third party Amazon sellers have it for £429 at present.
As I said in the posting this is a good deal if you were thinking of buying a secondhand one off eBay etc if you want a decent warranty etc then you need to look elsewhere and probably pay over £400, which then makes taking a gamble on a secondhand one more attractive!

Actually looking through my emails it was the advance model that dropped to £329, friend bought one after a camel alert. Even better! Was a 3rd party seller but Amazon fulfilled.

Was that around the same time when that mercahnt messed up a load of Amazon listings and sold for 1p?

Just so you know.....i am pretty sure that UK warranty WILL be an issue with this. Some fellow Mavic owners who purchased on holidays etc are having nightmares getting any warranty work done because they are CN or US drones etc.

Don't really care if I'm repeating myself, but I'd avoid these clowns. It's one thing getting a faulty £30 drone and having emails completely blanked / reviews removed, but if your £336 drone goes the same way you'll be slightly more pi55ed to say the least, but still have no comeback whatsoever.
Just wanted to share - it's your money ;-)

I ordered a £35 drone from Tomtop and the battery it came with was a dud. I emailed their support and they refunded me the cost of a new battery. Then I ordered a new battery from them and they refunded me again! Just saying, my experience of them has been good so far...

Just going though the hassle of getting my money back off them on waiting nearly 6 weeks for item to arrive, Its all down to the software why the drone is not following, refuse to update my dji 3 4k.

on one of the reviews on 10th aug, this is the translation
I liked the product, fast had a tax of 284.00 reais but it was worth it, I recommend TOMTOP
i presume it means they had €284 euro customs tax to pay ? as it is in Portuguese, but it was still worth it, GOON.

Reals = Brazilian currency, not Euros...about four to a GBP. Plus they may have different taxation bands than we do on importing goods so not really a direct comparison to what you would pay.

thanks for info, i just thought Portuguese, Portugal, euro, there is plenty British reviews not mentioning nothing about vat charges, one thing to mention there are a few not happy with the tomtop customer service , very slow or not at all some say.

Not that I know much about drones, but if its a U.S plug on the Lipo Charger it will probably need 110v supply not UK 230v, so you may need to buy a different charger.
Just sayin...

Very tempted at this price but worried about how much VAT & customs charges will be

Also bear in mind this will be an import so may be liable to customs and VAT.

The Phantom 3 standard does have the intelligent flight modes according to DJI site. I'd post the link but dji dot com is banned on here for some reason.
