I was searching for a Fly more combo and saw it previously posted at £955.
It's now down to £845.28 with code 'dbf6c6', the original price has been lowered on their site and code upped from 30% to 35%. This retails near to £1300 so this is a very good price.
£51.82 TCB has tracked as well! Brings it down to £794.
I've read more positive reviews about Bang Good compared to other sites Gearbest and Tomtop so I'm optimistic. Pay through PayPal for protection.

HMRC are not stupid. Worst cases for declaring a lower value is seizure of the item, returning it to the sender, the sender being prosecuted (I know not likely). You may also be assessed for tax on the uk value in it if HMRC think the seller was trying to evade tax/duty. That would mean you get charged 20% plus on the U.K. Price to get the drone and if you don't pay getting a refund may be hard.
Will it be stopped and checked who knows but plan on paying 25% in tax and duty and it's s nice bonus if taxes are not charged.
Its only a good price if you don't get charged vat/duty.

EMS parcels get handed over to Parcelforce in the UK and I've been taxed 100% of the times I've used it as a shipping option. Banggood did display standard airmail as a shipping option on the standalone Mavic a few weeks ago so I'm holding out until that option comes back, I've never been taxed using standard airmail.

31 Aug 17#94
have a look from page 1, you'll see some experiences
rapid111111
31 Aug 17#95
they are imports, but the guarantee seems to be recognised from what i've read. that's interesting about the new mavic - 3 minutes extra flight time and new designed propellers. not that major of an upgrade. they say the new propellers can go on existing mavics
glennhoward007
31 Aug 17#96
Everything I've read on loads of different forums say the guarantee will NOT be honoured by DJi in the uk if not a uk model which these are not. Also warranty with DJi is apparently not dealt with very well by them. DJi care refresh seems to be the way to go that almost anyone in their right minds gets (insurance basically for the first 12 months) which yes is an additional £99 and then something like £69 or £79 for first replacement if required but covers you in the country applied for e.g uk and even if included in price still works out way cheaper than rrp and gives peace of mind. This is what I'm gonna do anyway
rapid111111
31 Aug 17#97
Yeah had a other another look, you're right. Has to be an authorised reseller. Searched for Techinthebox but couldn't find any thing. Sure it's covered?
Malc84
31 Aug 17#98
I contacted DJI on chat and explicitly asked them, 'If I buy a Mavic from China or anywhere not in the UK, then register through the app will the warranty be honoured in the UK.' They said yes it would.
rapid111111
31 Aug 17#99
Lol. Yes that's exactly what I read before. Do you mind screenshotting the chat and putting it here?
Malc84
31 Aug 17#100
I didn't screen shot the chat - pretty sure if you jump on and ask them they'll say the same. The guy was pretty clear.
Malc84
31 Aug 17#101
Also, I don't think the DJI Care Refresh covers you for shipping costs if the Mavic is not purchased from the UK.
glennhoward007
31 Aug 17#102
Unfortunately I think you'll find there's many that have tried this and apparently DJi run a mile. If it is as you say then that's brilliant but I wouldn't bet on it and probably safer to assume it's not possible. Also different people at call/chat centres will tell you do different things unfortunately. I can imagine you'll be able to register the mavic via the app with DJi and return it to China for any warranty claims but in the UK/Europe with an 'international' model which this is, from my extensive research (last couple of months) they will politely decline. I hope I'm wrong if I ever have to claim and don't dispute you were told this on chat, but I'd say don't rely on it and the care refresh will cover you anyway
glennhoward007
31 Aug 17#103
You may well be right on this for sending to them but they cover return costs and even with postage added it's still about £150 - £200 less than rrp all in, and that's even if you have to use it which hopefully you won't. It covers many situations including water damage so most owners reckon it's well worth it.
6ixFoot1
31 Aug 17#104
They'll say the same until it's time to make a claim.
So with the Refresh, it doesn't matter where the Mavic is purchased? You get to return it to a DJi address within the country you're in?
glennhoward007
31 Aug 17#105
Correct! Although I'm sure I read somewhere it may be in Europe like Netherlands or something. Or I could just be imagining that. Google may be able to confirm but it's clearly the way to go when buying the 'international' version from here or elsewhere. You have to apply WITHIN 48hrs of first activating the mavic pro if you want the care refresh though.
6ixFoot1
31 Aug 17#106

rapid111111
5 Sep 17#108
Nope. Spoke to DHL again today. It's being sent back to Singapore and then they're going to resend it. - Hopefully the proper way.
Turns out it's not because of labelling. It's because the shippers don't have an authorised account to send 3 lithium batteries. Took DHL 14 days to figure this out. Shouldn't have been allowed on the DHL network in the fist place. Instead it got to Germany and now it has to go back.
BGs options are refund or send back again . They don't seem to be able to handle complicated instructions more than that. To be fair I've done about 10 orders with them. All have been fine except this.

Ok people. Slightly off topic but still DJi related and still related to buying from china. Based on your experiences here with Banggood and maybe other sellers like tomtop, I found the DJi goggles for flying the mavic being sold by Tomtop for $485 which equates to about £370. And if going through Quidco tracking is another 9%, so potential for a total cost of about £345. Obviously I understand the risks of customs etc but thought it might be worth taking a punt! Obviously pay through cc (I have one with no fees abroad). Another thread for tomtop has the dji mavic batteries which most seemed to receive having been marked up by tomtop as something different with a value of something like $19. what you reckon?

I feel like getting the Mavic Pro now lol
EMS, seems to be similar.
went for expedited
I think EMS is a national postal system for China or HK pretty much like Royal Mail as I've used it in the past, so it gets used extensively and therefore it's less likely to get stopped.
I've got this tracking from another EMS order going through Parcelforce
13/08/2017 22:55 - Sorted, National Hub
13/08/2017 15:58 - Released from customs, International Hub
10/08/2017 22:33 - Awaiting Customs clearance, International Hub

standard airmail is another good option ye

Shipment on hold LEIPZIG - GERMANY
:unamused:
Banggood need to send the correct labelling. Not sure I have confidence that they will be able to do it. Even though their CS has been good and responsive.
I think my mistake was changing delivery address to the depot then back to the original. Was hoping to see if it would be delivered sooner. Turns out it made it later.
All that probably flagged it up
and were they brand new unopened items that have flown with any issues?
Trying to get this sorted with them but they have no clue and are so slow. it's really simple, fill out a form declaring what it is ,then done.
Mine is still stuck in Germany and have a feeling if they don't do anything in the next couple of days it's going to be sent back.
Did you use DHL or EMS?
I think those that ordered the fly more are having it sent back because of the 3 batteries not being declared.
They said I'm going to need to wait another 2 weeks to resend.
You could get 10% off via Very.co.uk + 2% cash back and get UK stock.
Incidentally, DJI have just released a new version of the Mavic that's quieter and better battery life, interesting to see if the Mavic gets discounted as a result.
that's interesting about the new mavic - 3 minutes extra flight time and new designed propellers.
not that major of an upgrade. they say the new propellers can go on existing mavics
Searched for Techinthebox but couldn't find any thing. Sure it's covered?
Do you mind screenshotting the chat and putting it here?
So with the Refresh, it doesn't matter where the Mavic is purchased? You get to return it to a DJi address within the country you're in?
Turns out it's not because of labelling. It's because the shippers don't have an authorised account to send 3 lithium batteries. Took DHL 14 days to figure this out. Shouldn't have been allowed on the DHL network in the fist place. Instead it got to Germany and now it has to go back.
BGs options are refund or send back again . They don't seem to be able to handle complicated instructions more than that. To be fair I've done about 10 orders with them. All have been fine except this.
What are you gonna do with yours?
standard should come in fine.
They told me when they resend it, it will be by "Registered Mail", so that's the slow standard option they have. EMS has the same issues as DHL
i want my toy dammit
The labels are wrong. The Shipper needs to put the right labels. Very simple form to fill out and do while it's still in Germany. Banggood and Shipper need to talk to each other which they're not doing effectively.
Many other packages - probably all from you guys - in the same on hold situation.
And did the cashback track?

Has anyone's TCB tracked after using the code?
Banggood have sent a 2nd one.

I went with Tomtop £882 - £97 TCB tracked, was delivered in 7 days. Hoping there aren't any hiccups with the cashback
