Oh aye, a cracking little deal this.
For £12 this would make a fantastic and impressive stocking filler as well.
Great deal OP.

Has anyone used this? I'm interested as an amateur photographer, but have little idea about what to look out for when it comes to drones.

I have the JJRC H37, which is pretty much identical to this. The camera is rubbish. They did a pink verison with a 720p camera on it. Alternativley the later version looks a lot more capable, for only £20 more.
I fear if you bought the cheap one you would use it twice, then put it in a drawer. I did...

No where near as good as the Mavic or Spark. Serious photographers should avoid!

I'd say it's a bit better than the Mavic Pro. I have both, but i only use the Mavic for messing around, this badboy is my main go to for professional flying/photography. Your Grandson will be so pleased you bought him one of these instead, I only wish I could be there to see his face when he opens it!

Agreed it's way better than the Mavic pro for a child but that's it. You simply can't compare a £17 quad to a £1k machine. I fly just about every type of RC model out there. As an instructor I get asked "What is the best model / Drone for me". The first answer is"What is your budget" and then we go from there. The Quad market is flooded at the moment and the standards are constantly rising. A model that cost £100 two years ago is now £20-£30.
My advice is start with something cheap preferably a Quad that has proper RC transmitter sticks and uses Mode 1 or mode 2. Then progress from there if you enjoy the hobby. Wifi and IR models are only suitable for indoor use due to poor range and Sunlight issues.

Err I believe there was a healthy dose of sarcasm in Dekard97's comment.
I prefer buying via eBay, rather than some of the China retailers, as more protection if there are any issues.

I have to say that shipping is excellent from this vendor. I ordered a Visuo drone that arrived in just about a week and I could track it all the way from China.

you can only use points, discount codes etc on full price and not reduced price items, they are mostly all the same the Chinese web sites, you will find it hard to use codes and points as mostly every item sold seems to have this fake reduced price selling technic.

Please don't get fooled by the many lookalike DJI Mavic's out there. A drone like this one (even though it's good for the price) is like comparing a Go Kart to a high end luxury car.
