This is my first time posting a deal, hope it would heat up. I have been looking for a good coffee machine for sometime, I missed the same machine from co-operative at 249 pounds a few weeks ago. I just ordered with Nectar card triple points earned. :grin:

@cqersyh there is a 10% code CM79 which takes 10% off. Maybe worth cancelling and reordering to save yourself £25.

Customer service can refund gift card spend but assume you will have to wait until the morning, think you can do live chat,
Probably worth taking a screenshot of the discounted price with the code as not sure when the code expires. hopefully they will just refund you the £25 ratehr than having to reorder.

Thanks, I won't cancel the order coz I assume it will take a few days to refund back to my Debenham gift card. I won't have chance to use this gift card on this order then. I will do what you said and chat with customer service tomorrow, let's see what they will come back to me!

I bought one when the co-op electrical deal was on a couple of weeks ago. It is simplicity itself to use, even with pre-ground coffee. I can make coffee for groups of people in a fraction of the time it takes with my Gaggia Classic. Milk steams very quickly as well, and the milk gets a lot hotter as well.

How easy is it to use the milk frother? Relatively straightforward, or do I need formal barista training?

Yes...you will need some degree of training to do the latte art you'll get from a barista. Mind you, you'd find it very difficult to use this machine to produce the correct microfoam required even with training. This machine is a compromise don't forget - A commercial coffee shop grinder alone will start at £500+ let alone the rest of the kit. It's perfectly adequate at heating and frothing milk in the domestic setting though. Big plus - little or no mess!

Half the fun is finding a bean that you like and it's all basically down to personal taste. Any of the supermarket beans will be just great to kick off with - just make sure that its meant for espresso. Don't buy bigger bags than 250g to start so you can experiment.

They also had a few of the Magnifica ESAM 4000 B, down from £470 to £300
I didn't want to spend that much but might be good for someone.
