Had it on sale for about £40 and really wanted to like it, but the sound is just not there. Some fun effects and stuff, but the main point is that music doesn't sound anywhere near as good as it does on Bose. 1st gen soundlink colour (though not as good as mini II) can still be found under £70 and is a far better option.
Techno thicko here, but could I connect an Echo Dot to it (i.e. wired) ? Keen to get a nice quality sound and these Anker type speakers just don't cut it ime

I read on a review for this speaker that said if you connected an Echo Dot via bluetooth then the speaker turns itself off after a certain amount of silence - therefore making it a bit useless for Echo as you keep having to turn it back on. Not sure about wired mode.

Theoretically, yes - but in practice it doesn't switch off. It just stays on. It's a good partner for the Echo Dot.

I have connected an Echo Dot to this CSB AXX200 many a time but only by Bluetooth never by wire and it works fine if this is any help

I have an Axx10, which has no portability and cost £100 from Amazon a couple of years ago, and if this sounds half as good as it, its worth every penny.
