Mmmmmm once made some honey glazed ham and beef at Xmas. Was great sliced and presented on a meat platter, didn't have any problems cutting either well done meat or rare beef.

These are really useful!, great for bread too. I used to make a Nigellas Norwegian mountain bread and found it really hard to cut, these things made it very easy.
EDIT: Did not notice but ChrisRodger already mentioned its great for bread.... Well, it really is.

Thanks OP . For some reason the Argos website on the desk top with Firefox showed stock , but would not go through to the next page to reserve one . So I tried with the mobile and it went through and reserved click and collect. Hope it is there when I arrive !

How do you slice a roast chicken with this?

Only thing you would be able to do is remove the breast and slice that. There's plenty of videos showing how to remove it intact. Chicken is easy enough to shread by hand though.

Got this earlier this year. Works well. We buy a few joints of different meat, cook them then slice and freeze in batches. A good way to get good value for money and quality sliced meat. Also have a mincer to bag up and freeze our own mince meat, can do more but not tried yet.

What brand of mincer do you have.? Had a Lidl one before, that was pants. Ad also had a Argos stainless steel one warrell Thompson I think. That lasted just over a year.

Like Monkeys uncle, I have had one of these for years. Excellent product, used regularly for slicing homemade bread,. Cooked ham etc. I paid a lot more than £12.99, this price is an absolute bargain.

Got one for Christmas, tried it twice, disintegrated my meat both times and made a helluva mess whilst doing so. Maybe I'm the problem but so far unable to get even thick slices of meat out of it, let alone thin.
Heat for price tho.

Maybe you got a dud? I.e. One with a blunt blade?
Never owned one myself, but two comments on here saying how good it is?
