Or....Just pre-order the game from Amazon (payment not taken until dispatch), they send you a beta code to redeem on callofduty.com/beta a minute after placing the pre-order, then you get a PSN code for the beta trial. after this you can cancel your pre-order at Amazon. Worked for me last night and a few of my mates have confirmed it works too. Simples.

I'm with you on that, annoying everyone saying to do it, my account got temporarily locked before as i changed my mind on a just a few orders though i made many and haven't before they dispatched, others have been cancelled altogether even with a few returns or cancellations.
For me its not worth loosing access to amazon so i much rather wait for alternative method or not have. A heads up for others if you have returned or changed mind when ordering on there. I would only save it for when you do want to cancel or return as your jeopardising your access to amazons services.

If they don't like people canceling, they shouldn't support pre-order bonuses in the first place pre-orders are bad

I know what you're saying. There is an aspect of CoD being 'shovelware' but having been a fan of the series (barring MW3 and Ghosts...bleurgh!) and ending up buying each new release I can say (after playing 10hours of the beta on PS4) this new version is a damn good effort. Decent maps and solid gunplay. None of the futuristic parkour bs we've had to put up with in recent editions. It could be described as 'Battlefield Lite' but it's a good effort from Sledgehammer to take CoD back to what CoD does best. Sadly the aiming doesn't quite feel as tight as CoD4 / MW2 but it's not bad. There's a lot of fun to be had here.

So how do I get the actual code? grabbed the deal code at 9am which takes me to the activision website and redeems , I presume I now have to log into my console for the beta to appear? ps not even an o2 member anymore but priority still works for me :grin:

Activision will eventually send you an email with a code that you can redeem on your console.

When you redeemed it and selected which console it was for on the Activision page, it should have given you another code. I got a code to redeem on the PS Store and then it let me download it. I'd try and go back to the Activision page and try it again.

I wish I could give you my code, I tried the game out but it's just not that good, for me anyway.
