One thing I have noticed about this forum, If you posted a solid gold Rolex for £400 there would be people complain and want extended warranty, free delivery etc. This product is under £80, has a reasonable spec as well as hdmi out, 2g ram, 2 year uk warranty, hd screen. Yet people still complain, constructive criticism and opinions are what helps people decide on their possible purchase but most opinions I see are incorrect and meaningless. 2 gig not enough, really?

Some just knock a deal for the sake of it, it's their idea of fun. THEN you get the jokers who "like" the knock. NEVER mind, eh. Great site, great deals, even if not to everybody's taste.

Good price for the spec on a new tablet. Been looking for a cheap full-HD 10" android tablet. Collecting during my lunch and will provide a quick review later

Is this tablet any good? My Mum is wanting a new tablet, around £100 with large screen. She has a Nook right now and has problems browsing the internet with it. Was thinking either a Lenovo Tab 3 10.1 Inch or Lenovo Tab 2 A10-30 might be good for her, then this has popped up.

My Nook HD+ eventually slowed down to an interminable crawl (Cyanogenmod-Android-ed). Gave it to my niece though I think she barely uses it.
Moved on to a Linx 10 and now a Chinese Cube i7 Book (overheats a bit, mind) - Windows tablets turned my head but would be tempted by this Android as a spare if it was any good.
The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-30 (were all over HUKD before Xmas) is really good, set Lenovo tabs up for my niece and brother-in-law (who got the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70F - similar to the Tab 2 A10-30 but better graphics chip, if I remember right).
This has the same processor and ram from China and its the same price, so its a good price from Argos. How nippy it feels in use is perhaps what you need to know, not the fastest processor, I'm not on about gaming, just everyday browsing.

Some reviews reveal issues with it so I'm out I think. Looks too good to be true but it's got a 2 year warranty. Argos staff seem reluctant to accept it back though as that has been mentioned in the reviews.

Android 6 too - often have something older on these bargain basement tablets. It looks like it's made by Archos according to some reviews - many of which are mixed. Looks good value for what you're getting.
It's reduced because they've just started selling a new model. Same everything except Android 7 & what appears to be a better battery for £139. argos.co.uk/pro…513

Why all the negativity? Full HD, 2GB of ram and a full on 10 incher. 32gb memory. It beggars belief how people can't just compliment a deal rather than picking holes. £80 IS A BARGAIN

If i recall correctly these are rebadged Archos 101b Oxygen tablets. Bush is a brand name licensed by Argos to slap on their 'own brand' electrical goods. £80 is a decent price for a cheap and cheerful 10.1" tablet from a reputable retailer that provides a guarantee that means something. Good balance of specs considering. As long as you modify your expectations in line with the price you are paying then it looks good to me. Just don't expect to play intense 3D games etc but for the general surfing, video stuff it'll be fine.

My sister got the previous generation Spira from Argos. It was reasonable for the price but I didn't like that enough to get one myself. The thing that put me off was the gap between the screen and surround, the screen seemed to sit several millimetres behind the glass, you could almost see the inside of the tablet. But that was the previous model. I am tempted to get these to replace the kids' Hudl2's. Waiting on responses of if they are any good.

Got one today. Initial thoughts are that it's great value for money.
First, as with most android tablets it was easy to set up and copy my google accounts and apps across from other devices using the WiFi setup.
It feels like a good build quality, though I would always recommend buying a case and screen protector.
The screen is a comfortable size and the tablet produces a crisp and bright image, even under the fluorescent lights of my office (not sure about outside in the sun due to typical British summer weather today).
It's very early stages but the screen is responsive and the tablet is quick. I recommend buying a micro-SD card to store your media on and keep all your apps installed on the tablet's memory, ensuring it runs as fast as possible.
According to the in-built battery tool on the android system, after using it for an hour – watching video and browsing the web with the screen on full brightness – it estimates a further 5 hours of use before it needs a recharge.
At £80 I cannot complain. It comes with a 1-year guarantee through Argos and 2-year manufacturer warranty so you can rest assured knowing that if it does develop any of the issues some users have experienced you should be able to exchange it or get a refund.
Hope this info helps anyone considering buying one.

10 Aug 17#33
If you're just watching YouTube or casual TV on Netflix, for example, it is good (considering the price) but not great.
However, as with any tablet, if you want decent audio quality I would always recommend some kind of external audio output, such as a bluetooth speaker or a set of headphones (my preference is always to use closed-cup headphones).

Bush Spira B3 10 Inch 32GB Tablet is £140 at Argos, gives you 9hr battery. 5hrs is pretty typical for a laptop and many tablets. 1920 x 1200 10" display eats up battery faster and for the same battery weight the battery either has to be more efficient or else the electronics are upgraded to consume less battery.
But the B2 is superb value at £80, a bargain because new model has arrived. You may as well save £60 and perhaps spend £10 on an external battery.

I need two or three trading apps open most of the time and I'm really struggling with memory on my current 2GB tablet. Also if you open a lot of tabs in chrome you will run out of memory quickly. Even some low end phones now have 4GB. My uses will be different from yours, so don't judge.

Like I said, I am struggling with memory on my current 2GB tablet. Also the speakers on this tablet are too quiet and tinny according to several reviews I've read, with people sending it back due to that reason alone. Not good enough for my uses even at £80.

So after just TWO days the tablet is showing issues. I may be returning it soon.
The battery was fully charged on first boot. First day I used it until down to 70%. Next day it was on standby and was used for an hour to watch video down to 60%. Last night it was left on standby and today it will not turn on. The best I get is a battery icon and a warning triangle indicating the battery is dead. I've had it on charge for over an hour and nothing. I have tried hard reboot and a fast boot but get the same results.
I expect it is an issue with the battery as others have mentioned. (Just wanted to post an update for anyone still considering purchasing this tablet).

Just brought one today. The screen is great, but anyone think the sound volume loudness is really poor?
Was expecting poor sound through the speakers but wasn't expecting any issues with the sound through a pair of headphones. Maybe I'm just too used to my iPhone sound. I fully accept there would be a massive difference between a £800 iPhone and £80 tablet, but just wondered if anyone else thought the same?
Decent tablet for the price though!
