Well they offered me £60 off to start with and keep the laptop I have, as description was allegedly correct, but picture wasn't.

Then they offered me £60 off an alternative.

So bargained them up to £110 off eventually, so couldn't take it much more, mine was a different complaint to yours I suppose, you got lucky never receiving it!

The spec of that product code everywhere else apart from the image was what I received, so had to cave in for that.

Out of curiosity, was it your belief that the original deal had a dvd drive? That was the one spec that I thought was different, it doesn't have one, the alternative we both have does.

Mines getting picked up Friday, they are delivering with it HOPEFULLY but not certain, it's only guaranteed as next three working days!

Didn't get it at same price, met in the middle of £210 difference, just hope they process refund properly, my credit card taken a hammering, looks like I've ordered two laptop's at the minute!

Mine should have been delivered yesterday. They promised to have it delivered today only to find out they don't have any stocks. They offered me the Asus ROG GL553VD for the same price (normally £869). I said OK. Seems like the only difference is the graphics card. Should be delivered tomorrow morning.

Yeh seems a good price but this really isn't a gaming laptop. It's mostly about GPU for games and a 2gb 950m can't cut the mustard for decent gaming. Just thought I'd flag it up in case any budding laptop gamers get too exctied.

You want to be looking for a 970m or ideally the new generation of nvidia chips: the 1050 or 1060s. 1060 will run most stuff really well at 1080p.

This one seemed like a really good deal to me. Aware it's more expensive but this will work for games in years to come. A 950m wasn't ever really good for gaming.

950m is certainly not a gaming laptop IMO. It is equivalent to a MX150 which you can probably get for the same price.

A 1050 would be a massive improvement over this.

That 950 really lets it down. Look at the frame rates at 1366 x 768 on GTA V:



£570 is expensive for a office machine yet it's not powerful enough to run current AAA titles without cranking down the resolution and settings.

You'd be better to wait and try and get a 1050 based machine for under £700 (they've been close to that price already).

Very heavy laptop as well at close to 2.5kg.

950m isn't exactly gonna be anything special, be lucky to pull 30fps at 1080p for the majority of games
