Been looking for a good monitor that doesn't look like it was designed for 14 year olds.
Widescreen and QHD, I believe it also has freesync but I don't see it mentioned on the link. This also has a wireless charger built in to the base which is a nice addition if you ask me.
I know it is a bit more than some people would normally spend on a monitor but it is the cheapest price I could find it and is quite a bit less than amazon etc.
If you need something professional looking IE for work I haven't seen any better for the price.

Ultra widescreen isn't for your average user, gaming suffers even if it supports the resolution. video has side black bars and most websites just don't look good full screen. Ultra widescreen would be great if you want to run multiple things on screen at once, people like graphic designers, musicians or people who need multiple screens open.
Now I know I said graphic designers but no graphic designer, or anyone using it to produce visual media would want this monitor as its VA and colour reproduction on VA is too poor. No one has been able to figure out a reason to curve a monitor, it isn't good for most games, for graphic design its just off putting, it doesn't look right with spreadsheets or word proccessing. the number 1 reason to buy a curved screen is to be cool but this backfires if you let anyone near your screen because they realise you paid for a hobbled display. Lets face it if you received a monitor like this 10 years ago you would have sent it back assuming it was warped or a factory reject.
As this is the best price for this monitor as far as I have seen then I suppose I have to say... The deal is HOT the product is NOT

I haven't used a curved monitor yet. But from what I saw in the shop it makes almost no difference, it looks like it faces you a little more and that's about it.

Haven't tried a 34 inch but 32 is atrocious once you really use it, at first glance its great but after a while you realise its not.

34 inches is bigger than 32 inches by 2 inches.

You can't get a 34" curved 4K ultra wide screen anywhere, not for under a million pounds anyway. This screen has good specs even if it's a VA Panel. Many people see 1440p as a temporary stop gap to 4K when in reality 1440p has been around and useable for years and I don't think a 4K version of this screen will be around till 2020.

Can we just distinguish the type of monitor this is. Widescreen is the standard monitor you buy every day, this is called ultrawide, calling it widescreen doesn't do it justice.

Like other said, if you was to get a 32/34 non widescreen they are still pretty wide compared from using a 24 inch screen, and that way your more future proof with 4k

I bought the LG 34UM88 a couple of months back. It's ok but not great. I wouldn't recommend the UWHD format, unless you do a lot of video editing. But even the I'd say buy an ultra wide 1080p display and a small display for the video output. I find myself turning my head too much and often things just look cropped top and bottom. Games suffer from fish-eye effect and support is poor. In general the screen feels much smaller than my previous 28" 16:10 display. I may sell on ebay and buy a 32" 4k 16:9 display. Much better all round.

I have a dell ultrawide and even at 60hz it's amazing. I'll vote hot on this as it's 100hz

I only really went for 100Hz because I have been using 144, I liked the jump to 144 and I think I would now notice if I dropped back to 60 again.
Also only 60Hz, I should have mentioned I will play games on this monitor too, my 24" is 144Hz

haha this is for a home office. I will use it outwith work but it has to look professional since I get work to pay for it. I'll have it plugged into a pc and a docking station so that I can use the work laptop with it also.

Then fair do's probs look best currently, I know its annoying but like its a new thing these higher resolution monitors coming out and think in 1 year time there be a perfect monitor that can last you 5 years, but as there paying for it go for it :P

I need one this year, it is a shame as I would like even higher resolution but can't imagine they will be up for buying another next year.
Seems like a lot of money for only UWQHD, bezels looking quite thick and think in 1/2 years your regret the buy

If you have something better or similar but cheaper I would be happy to have a look, I haven't bit the bullet on this one yet. Need it to be ok'd by the office first.

Way things going and amount looking to spend I'd say 4k, how far away do you sit, and Widescreem essential?
not many makers of widescreen and if your going to be buying a big monitor 28+, these sizes would seem more widescreen then a 24 normal

I want widescreen, I deal with large excel files, usually more than one at a time so I want the sideway space.
I also want it to be larger than what I currently have, which is 24", no idea how far back I sit but I already know I want 34"+ anyway.
I haven't seen a 4k UW so must be out of my price range.
